After a first season in which the team raced by the name of Adira-Isq Project, we are back but now in a higher division, with more ambition and with new sponsors and new name. The first season had little bit of positive and many mistakes were made, but also served as a learning and now we start to a new phase convinced that will improve a lot.
Our sponsors have signed long-term contracts for what this is a long term project. One of the objectives is to have a team composed only of cyclists from Portugal and Germany. In this first season may not be possible to achieve this goal but we will try. In sporting terms we intend keep ourselves in PCT knowing immediately what will be a very tough fight because this is a very competitive division.

Season goals revealed
After a clearly disastrous first season, where we can only achieve one goal only (top10 Tour of the Algarve), decided for good that this year we would be less ambitious and relapsing choice more accessible goals. Knowing in advance that it will penalize the budget this season, but this is a long term project that will not be big problem. Yet whether we will or not achieving these goals depends on a lot of what we get in this transfer period. We have our targets Clearcut and we will strive to achieve the contract still may suffer some setbacks.
Top15 Team Standings |
It will not be an easy target for a team that last year it was one of the the worst in CT. But clearly we have to strengthen the team and we intend to do so in order to stay with a team that is not only able to win but above all capable of scoring in every race they enter. If you do so we think that objective will be achieved.
Win Monterrey TTT [C1] |
Our win goal of the season, last year this was a race in which our team did well. Would not be by far one of the strongest but still we were able to beat several teams in the PCT, finishing in 7th place. With the cyclists intended for this season we will be able to achieve this victory.
Top5 Isle of Man ITT [C1] |
Several of our targets in the transfer market are excellent in tt, so this seems to me to be a quite achievable goal. Jacob Fiedler is one of the leading names on this list and it seems quite capable of achieving the top 5 in this race.
Top5 Volta a Portugal [HC] |
It is public that wish to rely on Tiago Machado for next season, if this engagement is achieved this goal it seems perfectly attainable. Even if Tiago does not end up in our team, we have other targets that will be well able to get it finished in the top 5. As the largest national race in our calendar seems mandatory that we had a choice of doing this although I know it will be very difficult.
Top10 Tour Down Under [C1] |
In the last year this was one of the best racing of the team in C1. Dietmar Mehr-Wenige finished the race in 7th position, this year's profile is again quite identical and pretending we improve the team we have clear expectations that this result can be repeated. It seems to me therefore, a goal clearly within our reach

The Portuguese press today were reporting a possible interest from the Team Karcher-Adira in hiring the young German star Silvio Herklotz one of the most promising riders nowadays.
The sports director of the team quickly came to public stating that this was pure speculation on the part of some elements of the press. "I want to say right now that this kind of news is pure speculation", "Silvio is a rider with a bright future ahead of him and any team would count on their quality."
Fintas concluded his speech with the press saying that with several teams interested in Silvio this never be more than a dream. "Rothaus - Aegon, VolksWagen-Mapei and Puma - SAP already declared their interest in the rider and this reason alone is more than enough to keep us away of this race because we would have never been able to compete against these teams."

Just put in an offer for 666.000 right away
Herklotz keeps coming up when I sort riders, his stats are just insane. He would be a pretty decent cobbler once maxed.

I prefer to leave this offer to others ... I have much more priority targets because the present is more important than the future

Renewals completed without major upheavals
The phase of renovations at Karcher-Adira to come to an end a few days ago and everything suggests that there should be no major surprises .. When questioned on the subject sports director refused to weave any comments and just said that at the right time all will be revealed to the public.
All this in a small press conference that was used to the presentation of the national champion shirts of the team. Failure to submit the shirts of Gabor Kasa and Gokas Hasta already makes sure that they did not continue in the team next season.
Martin Irvine
Jorge Adelbo Soto Pereira
Amaro Antunes
The team expressed his gratitude to the creator of the shirts aidanvn13 that undoubtedly showed us once again a great job.

Very busy August, with loads of race overlap. You will need a deep team for that. At least we won't meet that much, so go for it!

@tyriion I know that but it had to be that way, that's why Int Osterreich Rundfahrt and Baltic Chain Tour are races with little importance to me.
