Haha, that was a good joke Oleg Now, can we get the real race please?
To be serious, what the fudge was that? Novatek, ok. Congrats to them, they have a good team, and surely among the top 5-6 teams on paper here. But how on earth can Shimano do so well? Quaade has been absolute shit since he signed, and that Thai-guy is a freaking 70TT. And that's better than 83-78, way better than 80-79 and so on, and so on. I could have understood a "random TTT result" if it was because the two riders was to uneven, like one could say about Fiedler and Balloni, but there is just no consistency. Just a total lottery. My God, how has Cyanide managed to fuck the TTs up so badly? It's a joke.

If someone told me we would be 3 seconds off Karcher I would not have believed them. What the heck is up, the entire result is crazy though!
Atleast we still grabbed a Top 10, it was a nice report!

Well as a reporter I can tell you that the result isn't fun either. I've put quite some effort in the report, the result makes it a little bit unsatisfying.
Also I fear for my own team now of course because there are quite some important tt's this season (maybe even more than before) and I kind of planned my season around it, looking back at Vuelta al Pais Vasco I was lucky but I fear for Giro, Tour, Suisse, Copenhagen and Northern Europe. PCM15 doesn't work well with ttt, and even worse with ttt with smaller teams.
Analysing the result, it is clear that Generali (13th) had daily form of -5 and Shimano (2nd) +5, so normally they would switch places and with that in mind the rest looks already a lot better, especially when you take a look at the time(difference) instead of the places. Place 3 till 9 are within 16 seconds so they all could have switch places easily.
But yes the Generali/Shimano thing is to much for me too, hopefully people can still enjoy the report. I choose a tt to report because they are sometimes boring and with others reporting so much, the least I could do is take an ttt.
I do like that Cancellara pulled off a Rio kind of victory, it was nice to see him ride like the legend he is, so congrats to Novatek!

It's not your fault oleg, it was a great report, I guess we'll just have to erase this tomfoolery from the calendar
Fact is what are the chances for both 2 members of a strong team to get - 5 and both two of a weaker one to get + 5 in real life? Now that pisses me off. And the fact much the same happened to Karcher and Wisenhof makes it all the worse really.

I'm no PCM15 expert but I guess the key was to have 2 equal tt stats after the daily form was added, therefor a diesel with 2x74, staying together for as long as possible, was much better to have.
For example if Friedler had +1 he has 84ish tt and Balloni then has 6 points less, that is was I saw: Friedler totally destroyed Balloni. Wiesenhof and especially Generali riders were separate early in the race too.
In the end PCM can't handle a (2men) ttt very well, which is a shame because it should be one of the cooler discipline to play.

Now I kinda fear for my TDF TTT, where I have put all of my best riders.

Why is everyone so surprised, just enjoy these kind of results when nobody cares and just uses next PCM edition in the line without actually thinking...

Well, I guess I got what I was looking for with that 5th place, but I can't help but feel bad for the top favourites. This actually demands some action. I'm not sure what to do about it, but ultimately remove this event from the calendar should be considered.
Personally I feel it's much more frustrating to have this sort of result than to have your rider crash on an uncomfortable moment.
Anyway congrats Selwink, and thanks for the impressive report, Oleg!

I am not sure trek should be congratulated for the race that was won by team of Selwink.

Well, well, that was a remarkable race for our two boys. First time together in a time trial and it showed
At least we didn't get last after that stunt, so I guess they rode quite well, if only they'd stayed together! |

Enjoyed the report a lot, was an entertaining read! Gratz to Novatek for the well-deserved win!
Race worked in our favour and as we ended much better than expected I'm enjoying the results, too.
Olegs approach would explain the surprising results, nicely. Can imagine PCM handles the race this way, too. At least everyone could be warned now about the risk sending a team here. Opposed to this year 2015 results pretty much matched the favs listed perfectly.

This is just...
Must be the strangest result ever in the mangame, the TT/TTT seems really destroyed... No blame to Oleg, who had to report what happened
Would be interesting to see that if we ran the same race 10-20 times, what the avg results would be

Nice preview and report Oleg from what I remember reading doesn't Acceleration have an impact on TT/TTT now? not sure if that explains the result still but obviously daily form is king in these races. |
