Count me in! I love the idea and I'd be pleased to contribute. I'm currently downloading the DB, but with only one seeder, that'll take some time... But then, I'd really like to do whatever report is up next 
Do you have any notions on how the reports should be? Like, a mandatory difficulty, or a specific style of writing?

I'm not sure about the one seeder, that's just what the download page (kickass torrent) says. I'm using uTorrent, the speed is decent at the moment.
Hard is perfect. If no one else volunteers first, I would start the reporting tomorrow, I think.

Yeah, I figured that by now. I have 28% after 36 minutes now, I think that's fine. Just in the first two minutes, I had a download speed of less than 100KB, so I was worried at first.
And thanks, very flattering Yes, I'm definetely in. The selection is fine, Vanmarcke-Pozzato-Freire seems like a perfect train for the uphill sprints. Also, I agree wit roturn that it would be nice to report all 6 stages. But it's up to you after all. I understand that the chances for a stage win are rather small on the purely flat stages. So if you want this to continue a bit faster, than I can do only the 1st, 3rd and 5th, as you suggested.

I can try that. Is the DB for PCM 11 or 12. If it is for 12 then we have another problem. I have PCM 11 and not sure when I am getting PCM 12.

The Santos Tour Down Under is one of the younger races on the calendar of the UCI World Tour. Having been held firstly in 1999, it was a sprinter's race for the major part of its existence. But more recently, the route also allowed puncheurs to shine and gain enough time to win the ochre jersey. The route of this year gives reason to expect the same:
For the GC, the stages two and five should be decisive. The puncheurs need to use those opportunities to make up some time on the sprinters, who should be able to collect bonus seconds in the expected mass sprints on the other stages.

The first stage is mostly flat and consequentally, a sprint finish is expected. Yet, we will surely see a breakaway giving it a try and fighting for the sprint and mountain points.
Our riders aren't too good in shape yet, and none of them is a top-notch sprinter. Our goal for today is to get a rider into the break and then maybe snatch a Top 10 in the final sprint.

Our feelings towards today's stage are a bit ambivalent. Oscar was very disappointed about how the sprint final planned out. He had the perfect wheel and if he hadn't got blocked, he might have been able to get a Top 5.
But on the other hand, we're very happy with Gatis' performance today. Having the mountain jersey on our team for the next stage is great! Plus, the bonus seconds toss him into 5th overall. And Filippo's 11th in a flat stage is promising for the hilly stages.
So all in all, I'd say we look ahead optimistically.
