Well Krieger, this was shit...
Not sure if it was because a team mate was in the break and he then decided this was enough?
On a stage like this he should go for a top5 instead of a non show...
Thanks for reporting this hell of a race, trek!
And congrats to Sauber for a great Hugentobler win. |

a very good race for smaller teams, and at the end surprisingly also a good step for New Balance in the promotion battle...

My thoughts exactly! I was seriously expecting more on this stage... :/
Delighted to have Bille Top 3 on GC (didn't expect that at all) and also comes away with the points jersey. Ngandamba is the break was a plus and he almost made it to the end!
Thanks for the fantastic reports trek! Well done Sammy on the gc win

Great sprint by Manarelli, well worth the money already.
Overall a good tour for the Minions, if we can continue this into other races then promotion will be well within reach. Thanks trek for the reports and congrats Sauber on the overall win

Well this is ironic.
Interesting race this has been, must say that this 100% slider looked to have caused a lot more damage than it did in the races I'm reporting for some reason, but I guess part of it could have come down to the cobbled stage - but it's also true falls have been there in every single stage, in some more, in some less.
Hugentobler was not a top tier favourite before this but certainly one you would indicate as a possible outsider considering his all round stats. He was helped by the numerous falls by the favourites for sure, which is very unfortunate as it would have been nice to see what he could have done against De Maar and Pozzato or even Naesen, but that doesn't mean his race wasn't pretty great. Congrats Sammy!

Really, things were going bad as hell in Stages 1-4, but when I wrote this message, it all changed!
Thanks everyone, and congrats Sammy for the GC! A race to be remembered!

Congrats to Mars and Sammy for the wins.
Thanks to trek for the great reports and amazing pace.
The Klemme experiment fizzled out, won't be seeing him on the cobbles next season .
Thank goodness Park made this an OK race for Kraftwerk.

Navardauskas stage finishes: 5-15-13-14-5-9. Can't say he isn't consistent.
Good race for us with both KoM and team classification. Shame Pozzato crashed cause think he would have done great. Over a 100 points so can't complain.
Thans for reporting!

A solid top 10 for Razzie to finish off a definitely disappointing but not disastrous week of racing. Definitely wish it had gone differently but we at least salvaged a top 10 in the end.
Great reporting trek!

Thanks to trek for the detailed reporting throughout and gratz to Sammy on the overall victory - Hugentobler quite decently suited to this race so not necessarily a massive surprise although there are quite a few elsewhere in the top 10!
After all the excitement in the earlier stages, a more formulaic final stage. Pleased to see Mraouni popping up for the third time this race in the break. Of course Goodnews Clifford was our star here - after all the early crashes, he rescued things for WCC, our only point scorer across the entire 6 days of racing. Fails the race win goal, but considering how the race developed, will grab 6th overall and run

This is a clusterfuck of a race, would r8 3 out of 8
Glad Corti managed 3rd place in the last stage but that equates to about 10pts

Well done to Sammy- we fought hard to stick in three breaks, which I'm very pleased with, but let's face it, Giaux doesn't cut the mustard at all, and Dahlberg's so doubtful in his sprinting abilities that he decided to get in a break.
Basically, we're stuffed.

How are you doing that in races where your team didn´t look too good in terms of results? amazing stuff Spilak23!
