No one is the race, as expected. Denmark didn't get a team for whatever reason so that's the story. Good luck to all.

Go Tennant, go Slovenia! Obviously hoping for a double Spilak though...

If a rider from my team could win this, most likely Kinoshita, that would be amazing. I kind of forgot this was even taking place, but the Olympics are probably the most important single day of racing for our team (or for riders from my team) this season, with no monuments or GTs in our schedule.

Valls is my only rider in the RR and I don't expect much from him given who his leaders are so hopefully he helps out or gets out in the breakaway. In the TT I really hope that Cornu pulls a decent result out of the bag!

It's always nice to have the olympics being raced in the MG. There are powerful teams who are set to dominate the race, however it's going to be interesting how the organisation within teams like Spain and Italy will play out.
Portugal has a nice team too here with a good range of options for domestiques and second-tier contenders. I'm obviously hoping to see them shine.
As for my bets, I fancy the Trufflemaker for the RR and Spartacus to pull a shocker
Huge thanks to the guys working behind the scenes and responsible for the whole season!

An Olympics, nice surprise, i forgot that completely.
Whoever selected the russians for the ITT was drunk as hell though...picking Yatsevich (68hill) in front of obvious top10 favourite Ignatiev (75hill) for a hilly TT, that is something.
Our best chance for a nice result is Pluchkin in ITT i guess, i hope that top 10 could be realistic aim. Lets see what Ignatiev can do in the road race, he is lacking his attacking spirit this year so far...
Zmorka would like flat TT, this is too tough course for him i guess.

Shushemoin and Dekker in the Road Race for Compal. Dekker with the best chance of those I presume. but I guess I have to meet up in Rio in support of my Kazakh friends.
Maybe Lutsenko, Zeits or Nepomnyachni can pull of a surprise?
It's gonna be a really exciting olympics to watch! |

I wasn't drunk, but we agreed that we wanted variety among the riders selected in RR and TT, hence why Yatsevich, who dominated every single TT in CT, was preferred to Ignatiev, who is already in the Road Race too.
Same reason for why Fraile is in instead of Madrazo, or Koren instead of Brajkovic, or even Paillot for Lecuisinier. This doesn't give points and most of those riders have little chances to podium, so we figured why not add more variety and make more managers happy?

I would argue that Ignatiev has little chance to podium in long hilly TT, but no problem mate, it was more of a joke than anything else. Thanks for your work!

I know it was a joke, I prefer to clear up before it escalates though...

A real pity the Swiss team still isn't strong enough to attend the road race.
Hope Di Maggio can make us proud and help Ponzi winning the gold medal.

I believe Dowsett is our own entry and I hope he can take Froome to the title for GB!

By the way, will this also mean we get the 2016 European Road Cycling Championships?
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

We already did the Continental Championships at the beginning of the season.

EBH. I didn't see him performing a win, but the pre-race favorite finally did it. Unfortunately for Aker he doesn't seem to perform aswell in the PT for some reason.
Spilak taking him a bronze medal for us is nice, also Koretzky did well. Seeing the names here I am sad that I had Lecuisinier here instead of Coppel who would have been of much better service for Koretzky.
Now to see if we can land a medal in the TT also
