As you probably know, the first images of PCM were released a few days ago. And with the pictures we also got the first news about it on the official Pro Cycling Manager website. Therefore, we can now say these things with 100 % certainty:
- There will be 65 official cycling teams - ... and 180 playable races - It will be released to PC and PSP - and not a third format which were discussed earlier - The PSP-version will also feature track racing (like in the PC-version), and it will now also have multiplayer.
Yes, it has finally happened. A real rival to Pro Cycling Manager is about to become real. It's called "Radsport Manager Evolution" and is being developed by a bunch of guys from Crimson Cow, the German publisher of Pro Cycling Manager, which has decided to leave them. Not much has been said yet, but seeing the name I suppose it will be released in 2008 - and according to Amazon it will be released on the 20th of June, the exact same date as Pro Cycling Manager 2008. Also, you can find the cover of the game in this thread.
More information is expected in two to three weeks.
Hello, this is Waghlon writing. When CrueTrue released the the PCMdaily 2008 DB Beta earlier today (see news post below), he failed to mention that we had secured an interview and an endorsement by Mads Kaggestad himself (sort of at least). Just click the "read more" button and dont forget to download the PCMdaily 2008 DB beta ;)
(in related news: PCMBenelux claims that they will release their interview with him within the month.)
Dankan and I have been working really hard on the PCM.daily 2008 DB during these late hours. All teams, contracts, riders, etc. have now been implented and should be fully working. This means that we can now start testing the DB, and since we want a fully bugfree DB, we would like our community, PCM.daily, to participate in this. If you're interested in helping out, download the beta version from the link below. Please keep in mind that the package only contains the DB - not stages or graphics. Therefore, you will probably get a lot of pink pictures, and you may not be able to play a career. So, what we want you to look for is spelling errors, riders which are not at the correct teams, races which are at the wrong / correct dates and things like that. To install it, extract the package to My Documents / Pro Cycling Manager / Database. Make sure to choose the DB in the Options menu in-game.
