Thank to my mates from PCM-Spain, we can make official a database editor will be released together with Pro Cycling Manager 08/09. Read this PDF file or click "Read More" to find out more info about this new feature from Cyanide, which will be probably thought to make database editing much more user-friendly.
It doesn't happen too often, but I can now proudly present a new feature here at PCM.daily -- a Database Viewer. It's coded entirely by our crew member, AaB-ern, and has been in use at his own site, PCMScandinavia, for a while, but now it's also available to PCM.daily members.
It's a quite simple tool. It makes it possible to view the contents of a database (riders, stats, etc.) without having to download it first. At the moment, we only have a few databases in the DB (Bernth's 1996 DB, Titan 05, Wanka 08 and Sattlerei 08), but we will add more eventually. It should be pretty self-explanatory, but here's a short guide: 1. Choose the DB you want to view 2. Choose whatever details you want to see 3. If you're looking for a specific rider, you can activate the filter. If not, skip this step. 4. Write the number of riders you want to see 5. Choose what you want to sort the information by -- if you want to sort it by highest mountains stat, choose "Mountain", etc. "Descending" shows the best first, "Ascending" shows the weakest first.

Well, this is not like being a PCM08 betatester (some of our users have turned into some of them for the first time this year thank to the announcement we posted), but at least it's worth trying. As you probably know, the first images of PCM were released a few days ago. And with the pictures we also got the first news about it on the official Pro Cycling Manager website. Therefore, we can now say these things with 100 % certainty:
- There will be 65 official cycling teams - ... and 180 playable races - It will be released to PC and PSP - and not a third format which were discussed earlier - The PSP-version will also feature track racing (like in the PC-version), and it will now also have multiplayer.
Yes, it has finally happened. A real rival to Pro Cycling Manager is about to become real. It's called "Radsport Manager Evolution" and is being developed by a bunch of guys from Crimson Cow, the German publisher of Pro Cycling Manager, which has decided to leave them. Not much has been said yet, but seeing the name I suppose it will be released in 2008 - and according to Amazon it will be released on the 20th of June, the exact same date as Pro Cycling Manager 2008. Also, you can find the cover of the game in this thread.
