Update: I just found another screenshot. It's not exclusive, but I haven't seen in at other PCM websites before. See it here.
Today, I was contacted by the press department of Focus, the publisher of Pro Cycling Manager. He wanted to give me an exclusive screenshot, and I thought: 'Why not?'. So, although it's in no way revolutional, it's a screenshot of Pro Cycling Manager 2008 - and we haven't really got many of them yet. Also, it's exclusive to PCM.daily, and that's never a bad thing either ;) Along with it, I got some screenshots of the cover, including a new 3D version of the cover. I was also sent a press announcement about the game which states that it will be released on the 19th of June, not on the 20th as some sources have said. All screenshots of PCM08 can be found in our Screenshots section - including the new exclusive one :)
By clicking "Read More" you will get the full press release which was sent to me earlier today.
After more than 6000 downloads, we are now ready with the V2 version of our 2008 database. We have been listening to your critique and reports, and we hope that most of the things have been fixed now. This includes the career-ending bugs with too many teams invited to some races. We've also included some more 2008 stages, all made by Jaap90, and we have been updating the stats after the recent classics. We've also changed the matrix a little, so it complies more with Cyanide's logic. You will need to restart your career to get all fixes included. However, you can also choose to continue your career, but then you won't get all fixes included in this package.
With this, I don't think we're going to release more for PCM07. Next up is PCM08 :)
Jape, known for his save game editors for Pro Cycling Manager 2006, has done it again! Today, he finally decided to release the first stable version of his save game editor for Pro Cycling Manager 2007, PCM Dashboard, after it has went through a lot of testing by PCM.daily's members. With PCM Dashboard, you can change practically everything you need to change in a save game, and this is done through a very easy-to-use interface. PCM Dashboard is also very handy when it comes to story writing. With the tool, you can extract all sorts of data from the game, so they are ready to be posted at the forum.
If we go into detail, it's possible to edit the cyclists' form, moral, injuries, race programs, fatigue, contract, team role, speciality and their stats. Within the teams you can edit sponsor goals, race invitations, budget, salary cap and transfer cap -- and probably a bunch of things I can't remember right now. As said, all this is accesible through Jape's very well-designed interface, meaning that it should be easy to use by everyone.
One thing is very important, though -- read the manual which is included with the program. It explains pretty much everything. Another thing which is important to remember is to .. download the file. It's available here at PCM.daily - go download it! :)
Since we're having a "let's talk about other games than PCM"-day, let's go on with the upcoming cycling game by the German publisher (and producer), Crimson Cow. The last month, we've been publishing the first details of the very first rival for the PCM-series, and we actually thought it was going to be called 'Radsport Manager Evolution' - but we were wrong. Crimson Cow is now asking the community for a new name for the game, and you can come up with your own suggestions in this thread. For now, it's called 'Crimson Cow's Cycling Game', and that really isn't an impressive name ;)
So, why is that you may ask. Why did the Radsport Manager Evolution-name suddenly disappear? To me, this is quite obvious. Keep in mind that Crimson Cow published and distributed Pro Cycling Manager (called Radsport Manager in Germany) for Cyanide until Cyanide broke the deal with Crimson Cow months ago. My guess is that Cyanide has the rights to the Radsport Manager-name, in fact, I'm 100 % sure. We'll see this summer. If Pro Cycling Manager is still called Radsport Manager in Germany it means that Cyanide has kept the rights for the name ;)
I know this site is about PCM, but it never hurts talking about some of the other projects Cyanide are doing. We all know about Loki and their Blood Bowl-game, but now it seems like they are about to announce a new game. On their official website they have in all silence - because no one actually visits that site - posted two images which are open for being analyzed. I've no idea what they are about to announce, but I'm pretty sure we can expect a new game project ;)
Edit: I just came to think of the fact that Cyanide also published another note not too long ago, saying: "Cyanide is currently working on a massively multiplayer game. More information will be made available later in the development cycle" (Link)
It's natural to draw some conclusions based on that note ;)
