PCM.daily's 08 DB Team Objectives | Some new pics into the photoalbum
Hello,
The PCM.daily's DB-team offers you a chance you mustn't lose. We're in a need for help to build the teams' goals for this year's database so we'd like you to arrange them. If they're reasonable, they'll be definately included into the package and you'll be given credits. Click here and follow the instructions we're giving you. And remember: check the first post to ensure the team you're going to do hasn't been claimed yet. If it you still want to do it, try to improve the existing one.
Good luck and thx so much!

We've uploaded some new pics to the photoalbum, showing some stats and the new minijerseys showcase. Check them out clicking here.
With Rebellin winning the Paris-Nice, the first important cycling race has ended. It's time to relax, and there's of course no better way of relaxing than reading the Weekly News here at PCM.daily ;)
7th 2008 DB A few weeks ago, I said that we wouldn't have one week without a new 2008 database, and this week is no exception. The French guy, Freire02, has released a package with a database by him and graphics by Tourdedoping, known from this forum. Compared to some of the other packs, it's rather small and only contains the most neccessary things - but then again, that can be a good thing ;) I don't know if it's any good, but you can give it a try by downloading it here.
World Cup groups announced As some of you may have noticed, Nebula, a rather unknown French guy, is hosting the official World Cup in Pro Cycling Manager 2007 this year. Although there have been a lot of problems ever since the first announcement - for example the fact that announcements often only are posted in French - the list of groups have now been announced, and the first groups are going to battle it out from the 21st until the 28th of March. You can view the groups at the official forum. A quick look-through of the list of participators, it doesn't seem like PCM.daily is majorly represented ;)
Sisbos_02 releases graphical update Sisbos02, known from the official forum, has released the first edition of his graphical package which is supposed to change the look of PCM dramatically. As far as I can see (on the screenshots), the update makes the general appearance of the game more blue. You also get a bunch of other updates. For example, you get a lot of Miya's material (helicopter, updated frame, etc.), a photo pack by Andecal23, a new newspaper look, a new background -- and a bunch of other stuff. The file size is 139 MB, so, well, it should contain quite a lot of stuff. You can download it right here where you can also see some screenshots.
Some people have been reporting that it makes the game crash, no matter which DB you're using. So, be careful. Sisbos_01 has reacted to this by releasing a small file which you can download here. Some people have said that it doesn't fix the problem, though, so it's a bit risky to install it ;)
Get yourself a Cyanide cycling jersey The moderator of the official French forum, sebduth, has announced a cycling jersey which is made by Cyanide. It's available for c. 35 € (for some reason, it's +/- 35 €), and for those money you get a red/white/black cycling jersey with Cyanide's and Focus' logos on. If you're interested in buying it, go to this thread and write your name, how many shirts you want and in what size you want it / them in. In the same link, you can also see the "digital" version of the jersey. I wonder if Cyanide is out of funds? ;)
PCM.daily is searching for a programmer With 7500 users it should be possible to find just one programmer. PCM.daily is now searching for a programmer who's willing to help out the site by making a few new features. The current crew got lots of ideas, but don't have the neccessary skills needed to make the ideas real :) Therefore, if you're interested, send me, CrueTrue, a Private Message or contact me through the "Contact" form, MSN or E-Mail. We don't have any specific requirements (except programming skills), so just apply if you feel you will be able to help us.
PCM.daily's DB-team becomes reality! | New pics for the PCM07 PCM.daily's DB
It's confirmed - PCM.daily are forming a database team! Daniel Sánchez (yes, that's me) has officially left the PCM-Spain development team as lead database maker (even though he'll be still helping out as much as possible and running the website as an administrator). That means the PCM.daily's 08 DB won't be a 1-time project - the DB-making will go on in PCM08! Expect the same way of working to be kept here. Also, Roger Coll (known as Roger in PCMS and rogercoll/cstoner27 in other international boards) will keep alive the PCMS db team as lead DB'eur - I wish he has the best possible luck as the one behind my steps, since he's a very nice bloke and a true workaholic (so am I :P ).
At this moment, the DB-team is just Dankan, and then everyone who's eager to cooperate... but we're counting on you. We're looking for the best workers around here in order to make a stable development team - even people from other boards (over andere fora/desde otras páginas/dans autres communautés/da altri siti). Everyone who's capable to prove he's an experienced worker at his own task is welcome. We hope to build a strong team to make a great db in PCM08 (as long as the new game does not prevent us from doing so). Just tell me, using the appropiate ways, such as PM or e-mail - we just want to see who's willing to help next year, specially when it comes to graphic artists.

Anyway: we've added some new pics to the photoalbum, showing sorted stats for the most important abilities (Nountain, Hills, Timetrialling, Cobblestones and Sprinting). Note that we've brought the highest values down, to get more realistic results. This is not what you would be sure waiting for - however, we still cannot show you in-race pics till we ensure the graphical appearance is as good as we're looking for it to be. Look at the images by clicking here.
We are currently experiencing some problems with the part of the site that handles all the information. This means that some panels may disappear once in a while and that some posts are deleted. There's not really anything that I can do to prevent it, but the site will probably be stable again in an hour or two, I hope ;)
14th of March, update: Everything seems to be working normally now ;)
This time, it was actually on purpose that we didn't put up any Weekly News last week - simply because we didn't have any news to report about at all. We don't have much for this week either, but something is better than nothing, so here's the 52nd version of PCM.daily's Weekly News ;)
PCM.daily's 2008 DB - now with 97 teams Although we certainly thought that our list of teams in the DB was final we have been pressured to add yet another team. It's the (many) Portuguese members of this site who just couldn't live without the Continental squad Centro Ciclismo de Loulé which is now officially a part of the DB. And the Portuguese people weren't the only ones to "pressure" us. We have also decided to add the Hungarian Continental Team, P-Nívó Betonexpressz 2000 Corratec, which is mainly because of Cycling Manager Hungary's great interest in the project. Last, but not least, Jittery Joe's have been replaced by the German team, Kuota - Senges. This change were done, because the German team is so much stroner than Jittery Joe's - but don't worry, Trent Wilson will be in the DB as a free agent ;)
Speaking of the DB ... We can still use all the help we can get. We are both searching for people who can do photo packs of each team and for people who can make the jerseys we are missing. The Photos-thing is rather simple. We need to collect pictures of each rider from each team. We have already done a lot of teams ourselves, but, well, go to this thread and look for a team which isn't marked. Read the tutorial in the thread and get started ;) The jerseys does, of course, require some wisdom. We don't have all jerseys, and we need someone to either find the ones which have already been made or create those which haven't been made. Look in this topic for the jerseys we are missing.
The Sattlerei 2008 DB It's one of the more popular 2008 DBs, so even though it's a while ago it was released it's still worthy of a mention here. The Sattlerei 2008 DB is made by the very old CyM/PCM-website, Sattlerei (cyclingmanager.de), It doesn't have a whole lot of teams, but the ones it have should be totally updated. There are a few mistakes (f.g. "Marco Cipollini"), but other than that it looks good. It's a 220 MB package, and with the database you also get cyclist photos, 2008 race profiles for the three grand tours, new calendar logos, and much, much more. It's definitely worth a try - download it here.
Photos from Tour of California We do have a lot of American members, and that has paid off the past couple of weeks. Some of them "visited" the Tour of California stage race and took some fantastic photos which they have now uploaded to PCM.daily's Cycling Photos Section. Kebowers, for example, has taken some shoots off the Rock Racing team including Oscar Sevilla and Tyler Hamilton who travelled around with the team (along with pictures of other things too, of course). Levi4life has also been around and got some good shoots of the CSC domianance the first couple of days ;) You can see them all right here.

That was it -- I'm sorry to say, but we're still waiting for something exciting to happen. PCMBenelux' interview about PCM08 has still not been published, and in general, Cyanide has been pretty silent about the game ever since our interview with Clément Pinget. Hopefully, they are just working hard on the game ;)
