PCM.daily launches Keirin Ladder!
News

Ever since the release of PCM08, a lot of people were looking forward to Cyanide releasing Track Ladder for the online game. But the date of release was pushed back until eventually it was finally revealed that there would not be one.

So here at PCM.daily, we have took it upon ourselves to make our own Track Ladder and as of today, it is released! For now it will only be for the Keirin, but we hope to extend it to Elimination Races and maybe even Sprint if it proves successful. It is open for everyone to play - the only requirement is to have an account here.

All you need to know can be found in the PCM 08: PCM.daily's Keirin Ladder forum, while the rankings will be found by a link at the top of the page: 'Ladder Ranking. So go take a read of it and get on GameCenter to start playing and battle for the number 1 spot on our ladder!

Fantasy Olympics Update
Fantasy Olympics

Three Track events finished today: the Points Race, Individual Pursuit and Keirin.

First of all, the Points Race was not a particularly lucrative race for most teams. Joan Llaneras took the Gold ahead of Roger Kluge and Chris Newton. No teams had picked Lllaneras or Newton, while only one, 'ACR Team', had selected Kluge.

7 teams selected the winner of the Individual Pursuit though, Bradley Wiggins. But no one picked runnerup Hayden Roulston, and the Bronze medal Steven Burke was not available to be picked - after all, Burke himself was only told that he would be riding 2 days ago!

The Keirin was the only event of the day where at least 1 team had picked the three medal winners. Chris Hoy took a dominant victory ahead of teammate Ross Edgar and Japan's Kiyofumi Nagai. Kelly, Bergemann and Tournant had also made it to the final.

'Team Schleck93' have retaken the lead as former leaders Team France fall away to 6th. With two gold medals today from Hoy and Wiggins, 'Don't Mention The War!' are now very close to the lead. The pairing of Hoy and Wiggins has also worked well for 3 other teams, who are all now in the Top 10. 'Freedom For Tibet!' are up 8 to 3rd, 'Edinburgh Road Club 'are also up 8 to 4th, while 'Britain + Belgium = mediocre placing' are up 11 places to 9th. Another big mover was 'LDF-Velingnews.com' as Wiggins and Edgar helped them rise 12 spots to 12th.

Just 2 teams are still yet to score on the Track, with 'Team "We're Going For Last Place!"' heading back in the right direction for them after a strong start. Here is the current Top 10:

1 (2) Team Schleck93 (Schleck93) 2250
2 (3) Don't Mention The War! (Addy291) 2110
3 (11) Freedom For Tibet! (Immortal) 1979
4 (12) Edinburgh Road Club (jamsque) 1820
5 (7) Humle's Olympic Team (Christopher_OCC) 1708
6 (1) Team France (mb2612) 1683
7 (6) ACR Team (Rin) 1614
8 (8) Team Capita (lagetcher) 1600
9 (20) Britain + Belgium = mediocre placing (MayMaggot) 1574
10 (4) Team Thomas (Thomas) 1406

News

As you probably have noticed, the forum is currently down. The reason is some crash in the site's My SQL database. Unfortunately, I haven't received the needed access to the DB-admin since the server transfer, so you will have to wait untill CrueTrue has the time to fix it.

I hope it will be back soon. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Edit: Forum now up, thanks to some creative thinking :P

Fantasy Olympics: Team Sprint Update
Fantasy Olympics

The British team stormed to victory today in the team sprint, stunning the favourites France and setting a World Record along the way in the Qualifiers. Germany took 3rd ahead of Australia with the Netherlands a disappointing 5th.

The line up for the British team was Jamie Staff, Jason Kenny and Chris Hoy. Kenny's late inclusion inplace of Ross Edgar benefits some teams, but is bad news for others.

Four of the teams has 2 of the Successful Brits in their line up which helps them to leap up the standings - Don't Mention The War! is the highest placed of the teams and move up to 3rd. It is still the same two teams at the top though, and once again the lead has changed hands.

Team Schleck93 had Edgar, while Team France had Kenny, so it is Team France who retake the lead, despite Team Schleck93 also having Kenny in their lineup. Here is the current Top 10:

1 (2) Team France (mb2612) 1638
2 (1) Team Schleck93 (Schleck93) 1565
3 (12) Don't Mention The War! (Addy291) 1210
4 (9) Team Thomas (Thomas) 1171
5 (5) Al-Qaeda (jolly_antunes) 1004
6 (10) ACR Team (Rin) 1004
7 (8) Humle's Olympic Team (Christopher_OCC) 998
8 (15) Team Capita (lagetcher) 995
9 (4) Portugal Pro Cycling Team (only_one) 985
10 (7) Pedala (pedala) 980

What's this? A Database Review?
News

Our resident Database reviewer, Waghlon, has at last come out of 'hibernation' and written a review. The A.S.O. DB is one of the bigger databases to have been released so far - but just what will Waghlon make of it?

You can read the Review by following this link.

And if the review makes you want to try out the A.S.O. db for yourself, then you can download it from our downloads section. (And the fix for it too).
