 The British team stormed to victory today in the team sprint, stunning the favourites France and setting a World Record along the way in the Qualifiers. Germany took 3rd ahead of Australia with the Netherlands a disappointing 5th.
The line up for the British team was Jamie Staff, Jason Kenny and Chris Hoy. Kenny's late inclusion inplace of Ross Edgar benefits some teams, but is bad news for others.
Four of the teams has 2 of the Successful Brits in their line up which helps them to leap up the standings - Don't Mention The War! is the highest placed of the teams and move up to 3rd. It is still the same two teams at the top though, and once again the lead has changed hands.
Team Schleck93 had Edgar, while Team France had Kenny, so it is Team France who retake the lead, despite Team Schleck93 also having Chris Hoy in their lineup. Here are the full standings:
