DevBlog update and Official Trailer
Pro Cycling Manager 2014

Cyanide has released a new DevBlog update, this time it has a small focus on the sponsors.

New in this year is that you have now equipment sponsors and 3 types of equipment (frame, wheels and groupset).
Also some of these sponsors are allowing you to develop new frames and wheels.

You can see the new DevBlog update here

Focus has also released a short trailer for the game, which you can see here. Although as Cyanide themselves have said, the most changed aspect in the game is the Career mode - and you are not going to see that on a 50 second video!

PCM 2014 Gameplay Video emerges
Pro Cycling Manager 2014

A 16 minute long gameplay video has emerged on YouTube, showing off a darker menu interface, the new post-race podiums, and playing a mountain stage from the  Tour de France. It has been posted by the 'MrPcmgaming' account on YouTube - with footage taken at yesterday's 'fan day' at the Cyanide Studios.

You can see the video here, although you will need to know French to be able to understand what he is saying!

Story Games business is booming!

The community games are flourishing. MrUfo87 started an interactive driving game. The 22 spaces were filled up in a fast tempo, showing the interest in this original initiative.

Meanwhile, admirschleck opened up a ski jumping community game. Applications are still open so sign up here if you like story games and ski jumping!

EPIC reaching epic proportions

The story game EPIC's general thread reached its 100th page this night. Undoubtedly one of the most popular site activities, manager applications are open to those who wish to enter. The game is approaching its second season break. So get on board while you can!

Thread of the Week

This week's honor goes to the The Difficult Topics, where serious off-topic conversations take place. In the words of the immortal TheManxMissile: "[...]because we are all still friends after a 6+ page debate about religion and gay rights." This truly deserves recognition.

The thread on the 2nd week of the Giro d'Italia gets an honorable mention, though.

ManGame: great heights

the Kenya Mountain Classic was the ground for a spectacular battle on the slopes of one of the toughest climbs on the calendar. All the riders starting here knew what they were in for and deserve recognition, yet only 1 man would be remembered at the end of the day.

The second (and final) climb blew the peloton to pieces. Riders were dropping off the pace left and right. With 2 kilometers left to race, Inxtausti made the decisive move. Duarte came close and rode an impressive final kilometer, but had to satisfy with a 2nd place. Abal completed the podium in this action-filled race.

Weekly News #125
Weekly News

With three new admins, PCM.Daily was bound to undergo certain changes. Some things, however, don't need changing. I will be continuing the Weekly News just like it was when Pellizotti2 was still in charge of it. We wanted to take this final chance to thank him for bringing this back and keeping it alive this long. I'm proud to take up this task and bring you all the silly and less silly news items each weekend!

Test Pro Cycling Manager 2014 yourself

On Tuesday, May 27th, Cyanide gives you the chance of going to their gaming studio in Paris and test the upcoming Pro Cycling Manager game yourself. Read more about it here, and don't miss out on a big chance!

More PCM 14 news releasing on a regular basis

With the release date of Pro Cycling Manager 2014 only about a month away, we have been treated to new screenshots left and right. An official site has opened up, allowing you to discover the new features of PCM 14. We have also been uploading many, new official screenshots of the upcoming game here!

FDB14 V1.5 database released

Just because there's a new game around the corner, doens't mean the PCM 13 section is dead and buried. The Focus Community released an update of their 2014 database, all for your gaming pleasure.

Thread of the Week

In a new initiative, I'll be awarding the most interesting, active or important thread of the week with the ultimate fame: a mention in the Weekly News. This week, that honor is unmistakingly for Giro d'Italia 2014 First Week, where no less than 61 pages were filled with news, results and all whatnot about the Giro d'Italia.
An honorary mention goes to the 2014 Tour of California thread. With a new American owner and increased American population on PCM.Daily, the takeover seems almost complete, and American races are followed intensively.

ManGame exotics!

After an extremely close Tour of San Luis, Pedro Nicácio of Bonsucro came out on top of the overall standings, keeping only a 9 second lead on Eduard Alexander Beltran.

Meanwhile, the Tour of Langkawi is coming to an end, too. With only one flat stage to race, Vitor Rodrigues seems the clear winner of this year's edition.

But the biggest race of the week was most definitely Milan - Sanremo. The weather conditions changed midrace, causing some crashes, but inviting others to attack out of the bunch. One man stayed clear: Riccardo Ricco of Festina-Canal+.

We all wonder how he did it...
