Giro d'Italia: All bets are off!

With the Giro d'Italia ending, we're closing an important betting period. It's time to take a look at the provisional Betting Ranking.

More than 50% placed a bet on Nairo Quintana for the overall victory in the Giro, and the Colombian didn't disappoint. However, the biggest bucks were made in the KoM bet, where current leader rastaff won no less than 1,250.00 PCM$, thanks to Julián David Arredondo.

ManGame: PCT and CT Rankings Update

Venchi - Ferranti are leading the PCT Rankings, but what's more impressive is that they're at the top with only 25 race days, with Heineken-Cal Giant following a close second but counting 48 race days. This illustrates the incredible season start for Sykkel_Freak's Italian team.

For the CT Rankings, it's Grupo Nutresa that's leading the provisional standing.

Full Rankings can be found here.

Pro Cycling Manager 2014

Thanks to Cyanide we were allowed to have a look into the new features of this years edition of Pro Cycling Manager.

The biggest changes for this year were done in the career mode with the new equipment sponsors and development of equipment.
But not only that has changed also contract/transfer negotiations with riders are now harder, a new tutorial one for beginners and one for the new features, the automatic mode button, next order tab and miscellaneous more. Please read the full article to know what new features are in PCM14.

Also have a look at the PCM14 general screenshot section as we have added 15 new screenshots from our tests.

And at last: We had a test version of the game so don't take the rider stats etc. as granted for the full version of the game.
Our version was just a test version with the new features already finished. The stats etc. might change for the full version!

DevBlog update and Official Trailer
Pro Cycling Manager 2014

Cyanide has released a new DevBlog update, this time it has a small focus on the sponsors.

New in this year is that you have now equipment sponsors and 3 types of equipment (frame, wheels and groupset).
Also some of these sponsors are allowing you to develop new frames and wheels.

You can see the new DevBlog update here

Focus has also released a short trailer for the game, which you can see here. Although as Cyanide themselves have said, the most changed aspect in the game is the Career mode - and you are not going to see that on a 50 second video!

Thread of the Week

This week's honor goes to the The Difficult Topics, where serious off-topic conversations take place. In the words of the immortal TheManxMissile: "[...]because we are all still friends after a 6+ page debate about religion and gay rights." This truly deserves recognition.

The thread on the 2nd week of the Giro d'Italia gets an honorable mention, though.

ManGame: great heights

the Kenya Mountain Classic was the ground for a spectacular battle on the slopes of one of the toughest climbs on the calendar. All the riders starting here knew what they were in for and deserve recognition, yet only 1 man would be remembered at the end of the day.

The second (and final) climb blew the peloton to pieces. Riders were dropping off the pace left and right. With 2 kilometers left to race, Inxtausti made the decisive move. Duarte came close and rode an impressive final kilometer, but had to satisfy with a 2nd place. Abal completed the podium in this action-filled race.
