To give you a small taste of what the Story Spotlight hopes to accomplish, here is brief summary for The Two of Us.

As I left off, the most I'm allowed to spoil now is: familiar faces going to new places and new faces trying to avoid familiar places.

Expect the first collaboration story of its kind to be an adventure like no other. So, come along for the ride with Ian Butler and I as we attempt to make history and tell a story that will surprise, inspire, and provoke your imagination. Do it for The Two of Us.

Story Spotlights in the future will be much longer and more in-depth with the goal of this incentive to put a spotlight on an ongoing story that deserves some recognition.

Uhm... I'm pretty stoked for this story like everybody else in the forum, but honestly, is this news for the story really necessary? A story spotlight after only one post, just in order to hype it more?

Other than that, it seems like another very nice initiative for the story section by you guys, and with many upcoming PCM14 stories to hit shelves soon, there will be surely many requests.

I agree with the first part of Shonak's post. It looks like you made this just to show off your new story. No offense, I know you're hyped and excited about that project, but...

We do have Writers Block & SToM already, with both of them containing alot of informations about stories that I honestly don't think this is necessary. Might be just my opinion, at the end.

Have to agree with #3 and #6, this just started yesterday and it in the spotlight, while many stories have already been going for awhile.

But I also agree with #7, I am excited for this story!

Sorry everybody for the fix up that was necessary, as you can tell this is still a work in progress. This wasn't meant to be another big hype for The Two of Us (because I'm sure we don't need anymore). But to give a quick overview of the new incentive we are trying to put in place. Very sorry if it came off as the other way around. Smile

The Story Spotlight is not designed to advert The Two of Us. We've been cooking on the idea for a few weeks with the Admins and decided it would be nice to start the weekly Story Spotlight with the opening of the PCM 14 forums and the first PCM 14 story.
You might not all agree on that, understandably, but then again the story is not even 24 hours old and it has +800 views. That shows there is a big interest in it.
Anyway, this was a first/test Story Spotlight. The next one will be (like all future ones) on Wednesday.

I must be loosing my touch with advertising if Mre, Ian and DW48 are getting all the credit...

Wednesdays version should better demonstrate the Story Spotlight concept as not a vehicle for advertising stories
