Geraardsbergen - Bosberg
This is the second edition of Geraardsbergen - Bosberg, the last edition was won by Langeleveld, but he’s not here this season and runner-up Marc De Maar is. The results last season proved that being able to ride both hills and cobbles are important here.
Favourites: Rider | CB | HL | Puncheurs | CB | HL | Bakari | 81 | 54 | Van der Haar | 73 | 71 | Thomas | 79 | 60 | De Maar | 73 | 74 | Hristov | 77 | 63 | Karatzios | 73 | 70 | Drucker | 77 | 65 | Konwa | 72 | 70 | De Vocht | 76 | 56 | Kasperkiewicz | 72 | 70 | Lindeman | 76 | 64 | Gonzalez | 72 | 70 | Boonen | 76 | 64 | Bridges | 71 | 72 | Østergaard | 75 | 63 | Palyi | 71 | 71 | De Haes | 75 | 68 | Lampier | 71 | 73 | Grashev | 75 | 69 | Pozzato | 71 | 75 | Kurth | 75 | 64 | Nardin | 69 | 73 | Turgot | 75 | 63 | Terasaki | 69 | 71 | Marcos | 74 | 73 | | | | Walsleben | 74 | 67 | | | | Ingels | 74 | 64 | | | | Nuyens | 74 | 67 | | | | De Vreese | 74 | 72 | | | | Field | 74 | 65 | | | | Takenouchi | 74 | 64 |
Carlsberg with De Maar, Boonen and Østergaard and Podium Ambition with Thomas, Hristov and Grashev are the favourites here with both teams having multiple options if the course is decided more due to the hills or cobblestones.
Chiquita duo De Haes and Marcos as well as De Vreese, Van der Haar and potentially Pozzato all have an advantage on the hilly course, as well as Drucker and De Vocht who should hope the hills have little impact, could all challenge those two teams.

One of my favourite races when looking back at our debut season. Carlsberg has a crazy strong squad here, including Boonen, so it's hard to see past them for the win. But so do Podium and the Machine. This could be a war of attrition decided on manpower alone.

For some reason I really want to see the Chiquita duo do really well here!
That is, of course, unless Bakari can sweep the win with a 200 km solo. |

Hoping Bille can do the same as he did in Benelux Challenge and keep up for the finish. Ngandamba are only real cobbled rider, and not in the same league as some guys here...

Here because we have to. Let's get in a break.

CT cobblers are either all not strong enough in hills or when strong enough uphill they can't match the best cobblers. Marcos especially, De Maar, Van der Haar, Pozzato and De Vreese are all riders that could take it however as they kind of match those characteristics.
Can't wait to see how this pans out.

Hoping Pozzato does well! atleast not crashing like in Benelux.
In Benelux the hill stat was more important than the cobble stat on the cobbled stage. Hoping it's similar here.

With the hilly profile I feel like De Haes/Marcos will maybe pull this one out. I would back someone like Grashev normally, but he is probably going to be used as a domestique.

Obviously I am hoping for a good performance here. If I could control PCM AI, then I would probably have my domestques control the race early, have Ostergaard attack mid race to let us relax, and have De Maar then counter big attacks while Boonen follows for the sprint.
But I don't control PCM AI so it'll probably end up going completely wrong and we'll leave here without a top 10.

Looking for a top 10 here, due to my depth in cobbles and hills at this race. If I had to choose a winner from my team, I'd like either Marek in a solo break or Seb Turgot in a sprint. |

Got scared when Marcos went down (twice) but he got back and even attacked. With three riders still at the front with 15k to go I knew a good result was possible. But this, wow!
Thank you trekbmc
