Quick question here, will all of the created stages by the stagemakers here for the 2014 game be compatible with PCM 2015? Or do they have to make some adjustments to them to allow them to work on the new game? |

PCM 2012 and 2013 also worked on 2014, so i think these will too |

Please don't say 100%, that's NOT correct. Mostly yes, but in many cases perhaps only 90% perfect.
The big issue is ZCTS files. If stage creators could include them in their packages I am sure that even newer games might be able to handle older stages.
If you got a stage from 2012 it doesn't always look nice on 2014, but if you have the zcts file it's a very easy thing to upgrade it to 2014.
Two-three things in the editor and you got a beautiful race to play with, if not done correct you got riders crossing spectators, fences and even running into houses in the final corners.
That is why I always get very happy when someone include zcts files. It looks to preserve that stage for several new versions of the game.
Hence we never know if Cyanide makes a bad turn and ALL old stages are useless.
That would be a terrible shame.

Thanks for the responses and most of the races that I've downloaded normally come I've noticed with the ZCTS files anyway.
So am I correct in saying, that if I have a custom race in my PCM 2014 folder that I downloaded about a year ago, all I have to do is cut and paste it into the new 2015 PCM folder in the same place and it will work ok?

Ah yeah, fair point, clamel.
Well, at least the stages work and there doesn't seem any messed up features(was it 13->14 or 12->13 where the map function didn't work properly without converting?).
Not sure about the bad turns.

It was 13->14. From what I understand, the problem with taking old stages for newer games is when the newer game's stages have some new info that wasn't present in the older game's stage files.
For example, in PCM11 or 12 the stages' wind settings were set through the DB, and then in the following game they changed to being set in the .zces/.cds files. In this case playing an outdated stage usually meant higher chance of strong wind because the wind value were probably some default value chosen by Cyanide when the .zces/.cds didn't have it. Same for the fences thing, those graphics are new since PCM13 so PCM12 stages used in 13 or 14 would have that problem. I wouldn't think that stages made in PCM13/14 which already covered the fix for this problem (the unticking of the "merge" box) would show this problem in PCM15, even when unconverted.

I managed to convert to PCM2015 a stage created with the editor of PCM2013 with a.zcts file. |

As far as I have tested there seems to be no need to convert PCM13 and PCM14 stages to PCM15. The few times I tried it was working fine even the border objects left unchanged. PCM12 stages still needs convertion.
Afaik it was 12->13 where finish and map weren't working properly.

So can you just cope your CM_stages folder of PCM14 to the PCM15 directory and then u can use all of the stages of PCM14? Or isn't it that simple?
Does you DB you're playing on automatically uses the variants then or do you have to link them automatically?
Greetings, |

You can copy the files from PCM14 into PCM15, but only the races with the correct database and filename entry will be shown.
About stage names:
https://devblog.cy...1432996622
(scroll down to the entry called: How to modify the stages in the Pro Cycling Manager series)
About editing the database and adding races:
https://pcmdaily.c...p?tipid=50
As long as you make backups before you overwrite you can't do much harm.

I just copied my CM_Stages folder from PCM14 into the PCM15 map and used my weekly save at the end of the season to see if my career uses the variants.
If i watch the giro, tour and vuelta I see de DB generated new routes for these races then when I didn't pasted the variants from PCM14.
Can I assume that because I can see the route, there will be no problems at all? Or is it still possible that the stages will not load? |

Guess it works. At least seeing the route is a good indication.
Why not try to play it in single race mode, just to be sure? You can choose the variants by clicking the arrows in the upper right.

I test this in season 2 by playing the Tour of Australia and everything works just fine |

Didn't want to start a new thread for this quick question.
On certain races in PCM 2015 some of the stages instead of having 2015 as a name are called MC which I've seen in the Amstel Gold for example? What does this mean, is it a custom race by a member here? |

Yes.
Ironically, you posted the last post in his thread.
Well, he names his stages like that and we didn't rename that

Jeez what a coincidence.
I take it every custom stage, is a stage without the year for example 2014, 2015 are Cyanide stages and everything else with a name, initial or V1 etc is a custom one? |

In PCM 15 the Giro di Lombardia has two versions labelled V.1 and V.2 are these Cyanide stages or done by a stagemaker like Emmea?

It's more easy rename the stages with a consecutive year, I know, but this name is for distinguish my stages of all the rest
The project of Liège-Bastogne-Liège hasn't started but I will try to do it
