Sending my rider to high profiled race to give them an option to earn TV time, fame and one day maybe fortune, what do they do, sit in the rear end of the peloton, chatting eating chocolates and drinking coke, whatcha’ma’say
Thumbs up to Bjartne a nice race from Matthews, must admit out management would have liked a Japaneese winner but it was not to be.

Pretty poor performance, but I guess that the stage was harder than anticipated. Now on to the defining stage for us, where Roche has to live up to what he did here last year, but just better

Well, that stage we had no one in the top 50, but hey, a win's a win, and I'll take it over two top 10's any day.
Tomorrows a big one. Hoping JJ can pull out a good performance to make these race days worth it. If not, I fugged up big time.
At least Contador is still in for minor GC too, so that's a good thing.

Well, TTT went well, but obviously the money's earned on the next few stages. Fingers crossed for a huge Orange result - finally / hopefully. |

Nice to see Kolesnikov mixing it up in the sprints.
The hilly stage will be important for Henao Montoya. Hopefully he can limit the losses.

Think that confirms Sicard's win.
Nice stage though, taking big time on every other better climber with a nice attack, didn't even look like there were time gaps between the 3 leaders, but I'll take time on Sicard any day. It's cool as well to see Roche get the stage win as well, especially after his dismal Eritrea.
The team working really well today despite our small number of domestiques is great to see, Domagalski had a really good stage and LLS moving up to 11th is great. It also lands us second in the teams classification, but doubt we'll keep that with the mountains, same for Kanepejs 4th in U25.
Also great to see Isostar grabbing 4th and 6th on GC, really nice stage by Potocki.
Thanks for another fantastic report tsmoha!

Cunego performing!! Just outside top10 in this stage is what i could expect from him, and that also puts him inside top15 in GC. I don't think he has a realistic chance of sneaking into the top10, but if he performs at his level in the mountain stage, the top15 in GC i think it's pretty safe.
And great that Prado was in the break twice
Thanks for the great reports tsmoha!

Potocki what a race from my young Croatian on the hilly stage, working very hard for both his white jersey and Jani, who turned back the clock for a vintage peformance in 4th on the hilly stage...only downside is that Brändle lost that much time already - but also Belgasem with a nice stage, only hurt by the previous time loss
leading the team classification made it a very nice stage for us, hopefully we can keep that with our 3 string climbers...all eyes on tomorrow, the race will be lightened up early by the climbers who lost time already I fear

Ouch. 4 minutes lost is more than hoped for. Grigrian with a nice performance, so there's still two shots for us at a good GC. Hopefully the mountain stage will go better for Fabio though

Congratulations to danny with a brilliant stage win and CrueTrue with a great position for Sicard going forward.
Looks like it was a good thing that I bashed my riders publicly, at least they performed on a very different level today, very satisfied with that.

Thanks,
Great performance from Roche that now "only" has to defend this 3rd place. Have a feeling that he will be dropped early, but I think that Sicard being already in the lead will make it a quiet stage. Looking back at this race we will probably see that Roche couldn't have done the pre work of the mountain stage better than he did today.
Agree that Sicard probably will end up winning the race, but of course I will cheer for Kwiatkowski

Exciting stage and a really nice report, tsmoha. Some very big splits, and certainly looking very good for Sicard now. A great stage for Isostar also, congrats on that Croatia.

Nice ride for the CT ringers in Cunego and Kebede. Congrats to Tamijo and Aquarius for their time with the PCT leaders
Similarly, congratulations to Fablok, the wild Irishman Roche coming through with a powerful performance! Though Sicard looks to be the favourite looking at the rest of the route, both Polish teams seem to have solid results all but wrapped up. Love to see that

Sad race for us, Schelling with a massive disappointment here must have been on a very bad day. Maybe being 8+ minutes behind now will allow him to try something aggressive in the mountains.
Congrats to Fablok for the nice race by Roche. It still looks like Sicard's race to lose however, but Kwiatkowski may surprise us tomorrow.

Congratz Fablok! And great report tsmoha!
As for me, after Rujano and Solis, also Baltazar and Claerebout collapsed today so I don't even know what to expect from these next two days

Fricking hell. That stage was way too mountainous for JJ, and I should have known that I guess, but the hilly classification tricked me.
And of course, he still did better than Contador, who inexplicably lost 9 minutes. Just wonderful. I know he has bad backups, but that just flat out doesn't make any sense when he was 79 mount and 73 hill. His result is like his stats were ten points lower. He was even behind Lundberg.
Well, whatever, wasted race days all around I guess. This was the worst planning anyone could have ever done in any circumstance.

6th on stage 2 is decent I guess. Stage 3 was amazing tho! Brilliant effort by Kuboki, and Hayakawa snagging a top 5 is also a good result. Stage 4 we were invisible as somewhat expected although its kind of annoying Hatanaka did nothing at all.

Awful stage for us, but not unexpected. Sadly the ITT is so short, otherwise we could've snatched a podium. Bitter day for Potocki and Brändle.

Congratz Pintas and brilliant report tsmoha!
Glad to see Rujano back with his climbing legs at least. Top20 is possible and is what i predicted before the Tour. Hoping for a miraculous TT tomorrow.
