Welcome to the HQ of the PCT Spanish team Repsol - Netflix
In 2017 we managed to finish in 8th in the Continental Division and promote in our very first season to Pro Continental Level. This year we have added Netflix as naming sponsor next to Repsol, while Honda is no longer a naming sponsor, but remains as an important sponsor of the team.
This means we needed a new jersey for the team, so we reached Norwegian designer Hillis, known for having designed several teams jersey's since last year. We can't deny that he did an impressive job and that we are looking forward to see it in racing.
The HQ will remain in Madrid, Spain's capital, while the smaller base in Tokio is disbanded
Honda apart from being a secondary sponsor for the team, will provide the team cars, and also rider's cars
Fuji will be our bike supplier
MegaPlus will provide the team with supplements and nutrition products
Suomi will be the helmet supplier for this season

Repsol - Netflix announces his Post-Renewals Team It was the team's first time through renewals and got away unscathed, having extended the contract of all the riders that we wanted and releasing all that we didn't want
| 2017 Wage | 2018 Wage | Difference | Rafael Valls | € 375,000 | € 350,000 | - € 25,000 | Morgan Kneisky | € 75,000 | € 60,000 | - € 15,000 | Stefano Agostini | € 50,000 | € 55,000 | € 5,000 | Hideto Nakane | € 60,000 | € 50,000 | - € 10,000 | Jaime Roson | € 55,000 | € 50,000 | - € 5,000 | Cristian Rodriguez | € 50,000 | € 50,000 | € 0 | Rafael Serrano | € 50,000 | € 50,000 | € 0 | | | Total: | - € 50,000 |
All riders except Stefano Agostini agreed to lower their wages, saving 50k from their salaries in 2017, not too much, but that's a "free" rider
You can notice that we only have 7 riders entering this transfer season, and a total of 1.835.000€ of free wage cap. Big plans are coming up for the goal of staying up in PCT

Looking forward to see how you cope with PCT life, you've got a good base to start already I'd say Also intrigued to see wether you decide to focus on more types of riders.
Awesome Jersey btw

Hope you dont have chaos in your head, I know I would have when going in to a new division with 7 riders and A LOT of wage cap to spend!
Hope you planning it well where to spend it
Good luck! |

I'm not sure how I feel about a fellow Spanish team coming into transfers with 1.8M But seriously, great to see you up here and that you've held onto Valls who should do a job for you at this level as well! You have wage space to play with but riders to sign so it'll be an active transfer window for you, so good luck and I hope we don't cross paths too often

@Yellow Jersey That's for sure. I won't focus exclusively in mountains Neither it was intended last season, but Valls was too good and the others so bad...
@Viking Yeah, i understand that having so much wage cap and very few riders can be tricky, but luckily for me, i've been working for some time of several transfers plans, with 4-6 riders that i want to sign no matter what and from there, i'll see what can i do.
@Booker The re-build was coming anyway, even if i had stayed in CT And i can stay away from your targets if you can stay away from mines
@LLS I guess that being a Spanish team doesn't matter too much when there aren't any top Spanish FA to fight for And yes, Valls is expected to continue as a key rider in the team, but he's not 100% guaranteed to continue; a good offer, a change of plans that needs him being sold

@whitejersey Sure! Can't wait for transfers
Repsol - Netflix enters the transfers season with only 7 riders with a contract. But that doesn't mean all of them will stay in the squad
| 2018 Wage | Availability | Rafael Valls | € 350,000 | Maybe | Morgan Kneisky | € 60,000 | Yes | Stefano Agostini | € 55,000 | Very Unlikely | Hideto Nakane | € 50,000 | Yes | Jaime Roson | € 50,000 | No | Cristian Rodriguez | € 50,000 | No | Rafael Serrano | € 50,000 | Very Unlikely |
It's not a secret that with the drop of our Japanese focus, Hideto Nakane is expected to be sold to other team who wants a cheap 76 climber and maybe has a focus on Japan.
Morgan Kneisky won Paris-Tours for us last season, and while he's on very low wage that we wouldn't mind to keep, unless of a sudden focus change, he doesn't fit in our roster for PCT. Surely there are teams that wants a flat beast who can be used also for TTT teams. For this one we expect a decent offer, as we don't want to sell him "for free" when he's a really useful rider if used rightly.
Jaime Roson and Cristian Rodriguez are locks in and won't leave the team. Both are young Spanish talent with years left of development and are the future of the team.
Pretty much the same case with Rafael Serrano and Stefano Agostini. Both riders proved his worthy last season, one acting as Valls' main domestique, and the other as the main domestique of Gilbert in the hills, with Agostini even giving us a stage win in Bayern-Rundfahrt. Both are very valuable to the team, and would only leave with a good offer, or if we are desperate for money
And the final rider is our team leader Rafael Valls. We would never want to see him going, but after dominating last year's CT, if he wanted to go there again and we have both a decent replacement and a great offer, he might be on the move. He's not really on sale at the start of transfers, but more depending on how transfers goes for the team, and the need of money/wage cap

Oh boy I thought Rafa would stay at the team forever after that opening season would be strange to see him in another outfit really

Surely i'd love him to stay with the team for several years, but transfers are transfers, and in some scenarios i've planned, he would need to leave to make room for even better riders He still has two years at full power and even if he won't be the star of the team like in CT, he might still be our top climber. Unless the division gets much better than last year, he should be a decent scorer and provide us with regular Top10's

It's been an hectic start of the transfers period, with the team in the need of finding the right riders for PCT, and we aren't having an easy time finding them. We have done some deals, but are yet to be confirmed by the MGUCI so we could anounce their arrival. But in the meantime, we've been able to finally sign 4 riders through FA which all are domestiques, but can have a relevant role in the team. An aggresive puncheur who should up for a lot of breakaway action already this year, and the Italian rider still has room to improve his abilities. Jacopo was a clear target for the team once he became available in the market, as he had involved in a campus organised by the team during last summer. He's only 25, so he has several years to develop into a great fighter
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | ACC | FG | DW | PL | 71 | 70 | 73 | 63 | 73 | 74 | 67 | 60 | 65 | 73 | 78 | 71 | 68 | 4.0 | 71 | 72 | 75 | 63 | 73 | 75 | 68 | 60 | 65 | 75 | 80 | 71 | 68 | Max |
A man on a mission, collect all the KoM points available
Two confirmed signings, two Italian fighters. You can spot the pattern here. Stefano is probably the best fighter in MG, and is the perfect rider to go and snatch KoM jerseys during all the season in both C1, HC or C2 races. He showed that last year in Aeropostal, and we are looking to see him repeating those rides again in 2018. He's now 31, so a couple of years at his prime at left, but it's obvious he's not a long-term bet
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | ACC | FG | DW | PL | 66 | 75 | 73 | 55 | 69 | 68 | 73 | 52 | 62 | 76 | 85 | 76 | 55 | Max |
His last big win, 2016 Strade Bianche
What a pleasure to have again an Spanish legend in the squad. One of the best PCT riders in the past years, having won the Individual Ranking in 2015, "Luisle" arrives at the team with the clear intention of being a pure domestique, but he might be able to have some kind of leadership in a hilly TT stage race? We'll see. He still has a nice stat combo despite being 35, that could even see him featuring in C2 races during the season
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | ACC | FG | DW | PL | 72 | 73 | 75 | 71 | 72 | 72 | 72 | 59 | 57 | 69 | 74 | 60 | 71 | Max |
Most of the people will struggle to see which is the point of signing a rider like Barrio, despite his 79 hill given his low flat, and poor back-ups. But he's not meant to be a leader by any means. The most he could lead is if all other puncheurs on my team are riding elsewhere or maybe be a long wolf in stage races with a hilly stage. He's obviously in the team for being Spanish, but there's hope with him that being a good lieutenant for a rider that should be anounced later in the day, he could score some depth points despite his weaknesses
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | ACC | FG | DW | PL | 63 | 70 | 79 | 58 | 69 | 63 | 65 | 52 | 65 | 67 | 64 | 64 | 58 | Max |

Fond memories of that Strade Bianche win, hope LLS does well as he finishes his career with you, a legend of the game imo.
btw, Pirazzi has 86 fighter, not 85.

Echo that on LLS and Mosca - good solid first signings, though I know many more are coming. Even Barrio's teammates are going to be confused why he's there
