Totally agree with you, clamel 
But Giant-Alpecin one's is quite nice in my opinion as black is not the single colour.
And, btw., if you look at an team-overview of this season, only three - when I can count correctly  - more team decided to take a black dominted jersey -out of 37 teams  |

I usually hate Trek's tops (and the team for that matter) but that top is amazing! a real surprise there tbh.
Regarding the black kits, even though they do look quite nice on their own, it does not give sponsors as much visibility in the Peleton. we dont talk about the teams as having distinctive kits whereas Lampre and those other "terrible" kits are well know and thus more widely recognised. Its baffling really.
