Will be a battle between Ulissi and Kump if you ask me. As the preview mentioned, this tends to be an evenly contested race, so let's hope we can get another thriller...

I suppose top 10 and a stage win would be a realistic goal here, would be great to get the season off to a good start, though neither Guerao or Betancourt combine hill with sprint, which will be vital for success in this race.

Sent quite a strong team here, Flugel with good support and Zabel with ok support. Hopefully my team will do well on all stages

I feel like a Puncheur will take this, the sheer amount of quality of them should just settle it on its own. But ypu can never count out sprinters with decent stats in the hills!

I'm especially interested to see what Kump will do here as he resembles Van Stayen so well.
A Gilbert win would be cool as well ^^

Really hoping for Caruso and/or Roy to get a good strong GC here. Caruso can sprint and Roy can TT so we have two options for attacks. I'd like to see our depth pay off with the 75 rated HIll riders in the team, would be great to see them in the breakaways on the not so flat stages. Looking forward to a good race!

First stage went as expected for us. Tamayo Maritnez a little unlucky to crash alongside a poor bunch of Stobart riders. Caruso safely inside the Top 30 which keeps him out of trouble up with the other Puncheurs.

Honestly I'm just happy our team made a lead-out train, great to see Vantomme on the podium though, now let's get a stage win.
Thanks for the report Roturn.

Very anonymous sprint from us, did not expect much but I hoped Kruopis/Reimer at least attended the sprint. |

Pretty good stage for my team, a bit more messy leadout than in the classic, but the 2 first results this year give me a lot of hope about future results for Zabel. It seems that my helpers work pretty good aswell. Then again I signed Schorn seasons ago to be a great leadout with his stat combo, great to see it work. Pretty consistent results til now for me, lets see if that continue

That Kobe lad looks great. He could be worth a 1M fee if he continues like that...

Was surprised about Schorn's stats tbh. Didn't had them in mind to be that nice. So hopefully Sbaragli with similar will do as well for Swift. |

Okay the fact Ulissi sprints instead of Theuns is not good, not good at all with a view to the rest of the season... The fact Ulissi almost top 10s in such a field is great, however, and the fact we manage to have a few riders in the front for our leaders also is pretty decent.
We look great in game btw
Congrats Dippo for such a start by Vanoverschelde. Definitely never expected him to win a stage this season, let alone do it this early and take a podium as well in the race before.

Again, bad positioning by Appollonio. He really needs to be further up the road when action kicks-off.
Di Maggio on the contrary was enjoying his first stage of the season and feels confident to play a major role the coming days.

I should sign Guerao for next season so he can learn how to sprint from real sprinters

I'll take 8th for Petit, although without him being blocked he could have got a top 5 so there's hope for future stages. Gautier up in 15th is also good to see, as it shows he's likely to be up near the front on the hillier stages if they finish in a sprint. |
