Here's the thing though. We had a MG season in PCM11, and when it came to the end of that season, the consensus was to change to PCM12.

Like I said, for every recent season, we are usually fed up of the current game by the end of the year.
My favourite PCMs for gameplay are probably PCM06 and PCM07, and indeed PCM06 was used in the MG for a few seasons - until it got just too impossible to edit. In contrast, my favourite PCM for editing was PCM13 - and I don't anticipate PCM14 being any harder.

That is why i wrote that i understand why it is not a viable option.
But when he speak about last PCM that had any value, i thought i would mention the one i see as the one, so PCM11 (we also agreed on that with Shonak when he visited cross WC at Tabor).
I agree with you Avin. The last two PCM I bought are 11th and 13th. I'm still playing the first one and seeing all the reviews and my experience I'll be playing the same version for some years more. 2011 is the sweetest PCM of the lasts years but it's totally understandable that we have to give more importance to the mooding easiness and live with the... "small nuisances" of the gameplay.

That was because i was not aware what will come in PCM12 MG wise and even worse things in 13 and 14, but good find.
But when you look back, you cant say PCM11 was worse than any that came after i think (gameplay wise). PCM07 was really great too as you say.

I can only echo the above, I recently bought PCM14 and while it's a great inprovement in graphics, I'm thinking about reinstalling PCM11 because the gameplay was so much better.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Well, as SN already proved: we had tour f**k ups with PCM11, too. The Div2 back then was already a breakaway festival and iirc, especially hilly and cobbled classics went to mid-race attacks quite often. Huge groups on mountain stages was a major issue for many managers as well. I remember the word "lottery" being written quite often back then. Of course there were some "plusses" compared to the latest versions, we all know the deal

I think this isn't the right place but I don't know where to put it.
Today I had a really lazy day at work and I made some numbers to see how the calendar is distributed between countries and comparing it with the number of riders in the pack.
https://docs.goog...sp=sharing
I don't know if that would be interesting but I saw some surprising numbers while checking it.
Feel free to point any mistake or comment anything
If this is interesting and useful I wanted to also cross the profiles of the races in the countries with the characteristics of their riders.

That's interesting as I played PCM2011 for 15 seasons, done five story games and a long story and much less than 1% of the time was plagued by those issues.
Maybe there is something unique to the Man-Game db which attracts 'bad' AI which needs to be addressed? (Maybe the game just can't handle things like FLAT:61-SPR:82?)
Anyway, hopefully some of the people joining next season have PCM2014, that's all I can say, the more the merrier. |

Haven't kept an eye on PCM14 yet, but the prior years career-AI was always smarter than stage race- and single race-AI.

It`s always a difference if the player acts active (as in 99% of all stories) or passive (as in the Man Game) as the AI has to handle alone without waiting for the player to do something. |

I think it's likely that any discrepancies are primarily what roturn refers to, the role of the player team. However, my guess is that it's not so much activity as quality, i.e. the game doesn't expect the player to be that active in the race, beyond joining the breakaway, when they have overwhelmingly poor riders, as the control team does.
However, I would't be surprised if what The Rider notes is at least somewhat relevant. The game does expect a certain rider development model, which means it likely doesn't expect the range of stat combinations that are present in the Man Game DB. I don't think this needs to be addressed though, it becomes up to the managers to try and account for how functional a rider will be. That will obviously require guesswork from year to year, but you can even see that as building in some of the form variation and randomness present in real life but not in single race PCM.

Completely? Not possible at all?
Thought only helmets could be a problem. |

Is it not possible to add new Eqipment makers into the DB? Like we added real name sponsors to the Daily Expansion pack right? If yes then, it would be more work, but you could add equipment in the same way, using the team as the sponsor name

I had a chat with KenL about this and there is a way of doing it but I think it takes a bit more database editing needed |

Can anyone actually confirm that the Cyanide employees are doing LITERALLY ANYTHING CONSTRUCTIVE between PCM releases?!

Well. It was a nice idea with the development of equipment.
It`s just not as good for non careers. |

You mean the idea of letting me develop a better frame for 3 months to have it turn out even worse than the 4 year old one I'm already using that has atrocious reliability considering I'm OGE?

Well, they're pretty good at breaking the game.
