[PCT] Netia - Norske Skog
trekbmc
i1193.photobucket.com/albums/aa348/the_hoyle86/Graphics/trek%20team_zps9zt67zsn.png

Netia - Norske skog continue to sponsor us for the 2016 cycling season. After a great 2015 season for Polish cycling, both Netia - Norkse Skog and Arrinera (previously Fablok) promoted to the PCT division!

The team will continue to develop Polish talents and Polish cycling throughout the world with a squad dense in Polish and Eastern European riders, for the 2015 season under Netia's sponsorship.

We hope to see you for another great season for Polish cycling!

Netia - Norske Skog, Polski Rowerowy na światowej scenie.

For 2016 Krisa of Sportful has once again produced a beautiful jersey, albeit similar to last season due to our low number of sponsor changes, it reflects the 2015 jersey while having it's own identity. We hope we can be visible in the professional peloton once again.

2016 Sponsors:

www.symbolika.pl/wp-content/uploads/netia-logo-firmy.jpg

Name: Netia
Industry: Telecommunications
Sponsor Status: Main Sponsor (Title Sponsor)
Focus Countries: Poland, Rest of Eastern Europe, Germany*
Conditions: 40% Polish and 50% Eastern European Squad

*Very Minor

Once again Netia sponsors us to raise their presence in Poland, they are a telecommunications company with interests throughout Eastern Europe but especially Poland.

The deal was signed on similar terms to last season, at least 40% Polish riders and at least 50% Eastern European riders on the squad, after a great season last year, where most importantly Andrey Zeits won the Tour de Polonge they couldn't be happier to continue to fund us and we hope to have another great season with them.

upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/2/26/Norske_Skog.svg/2000px-Norske_Skog.svg.png

Name: Norske Skog
Industry: Pulp and Paper
Sponsor Status: Co-Sponsor (Title Sponsor)
Focus Countries: Norway, Rest of Scandinavia Austria*, Czech Republic*, Germany*
Conditions: At least 4 Norweigen Riders, Adam Stachowiak

*Very Minor

Norske Skog is a Norwegian paper company, who own mills all around the world. They wish to have there name seen in there home region of Scandinavia and other nations where they have mills.

After a season with only 1 Norweigen (Krister Hagen) on board the sponsors were ready to pull out, we can't thank Adam Stachowiak enough for finishing 4th in the C1 Tour of Norway to win us a second chance. This means that Norske Skog will sponsor us for another season on the terms that we sign at least 4 Norwegian riders for next season.

Minor Sponsors:

Guerciotti (Bikes)
Sportful (Sports Wear)
ProAction (Cycling Nutrition)
Elite (Bottles and Trainers)
Sandvik (Engineering)
Shimano (Cycling Equipment)
Przewozy Regionalne (Rail Transport)
Tarkett (Flooring)

Nice HQ!

Well what to say, your team was probably the one that didn't live up to the expectations in the most clamorous way, after being predicted well in the top 5 by most of us, and only finishing 8th and only just promoting. Not your fault, to be clear, just PCM being PCM most of the time. With that hilly squad you should have done a Gazelle, yet, it basically never ever happened. Hopefully you'll have a luckier year in PCT, good luck!

Very interesting... Planning on getting in a good bunch of Norwegians myself, so I guess I'll see you quite a bit during the transfers (and you unfortunately for me have the most "free money" to use now).

But anyway, congrats on promotion and good luck for the off-season. It's set for a rather intense battle on the Scandinavian market, I think Pfft

trekbmc
@bbl: There will be quite a few of our rider available, definitely Zeits and the others depend on renewals, so I'll contact you at the start of transfers. Wink

@tatasol: Yeah, I'm going to have a problem signing the Norwegians I want with quite a few Norwegian teams for not a huge pool of riders, fortunately I only have 1 foot in the Scandinavian market. Guess I will see you quite a bit but hopefully on good terms. Wink

Good luck in PCT mate! I guess you'll have to make some serious changes now, but you did fine already last season.. Sad though we can't battle it out anymore in the same division Grin

Thanks. Grin

Yeah, now it'll take a lot to stay up here so the transfers will be frantic again. Wink

I'm still surprised that you didn't also make it up last season, but I predict we'll be competing the hilly races (which are ultimately won by a 75 puncheur from Fablok/Carlsberg/Novatek/Delaval) again next season. Grin Pfft

2016 Renewals

Our new transfer season has begun with renewals, an exciting time as we negotiated for the lowest wages with our riders, first up we'd like to announce the bad news, 3 riders had to leave the team:

Patrik Sinkewitz - The German veteran was very useful for us last season, but he's old and declining, and he wanted a wage much higher than we could afford to give him, we wish him the best of luck finding another team for next season.

Lukas Varhanik - We were willing to give Lukas a chance in the pro ranks, but he simply didn't perform enough for us last season to hire him this season.

Piotr Mazur - Another veteran and he's declining fast, and simply wasn't producing the results required to race with us for another season.

And now onto the riders who did resign with the team:

This is my first renewals, I have licence to stuff up a bit Pfft

EDIT: Anyway, it's not massive amount over wage even if it seems unreasonable, it won't kill anybody to be over paying 30k or so on a rider or two.
