Great haul of jerseys in the Africsn NCs. I think there is only ivory coast where we came away with nothing...

No sights of Valgren nor Quintana, but my loanee Cisse took the double. Well, at least it's nice to see an Orange rider winning for a change |

A Bronze medal for Nakane in Japan, in what was maybe the only realistic shot of a NC for Repsol

Was delighted to see Boily (Can) and JAC (Col) deliver a NC RR double for WCC. Two of our key riders this season in delivering promotion picking up some individual honours is great to see. Both were favourites, but great to deliver.
I'm liking the new format in that in general the favourite is winning, but not exclusively (TSM a wee bit unlucky in Morocco!). In general I believe that most of us like when PCM AI for MG makes some sense, with the occasional upset (variety is also welcome!). NC's are now delivering that, so many thanks to those involved, Roman in particular. This much better mirrors IRL where the favourite in NC's often delivers, and NC jerseys are often won by the same individual a number of times. We will avoid the 'same-ness' in MG as the course selection change year to year will create different 'favourites' to match terrain. In my book it makes sense to see the best/better riders in each nation having the opportunity to take the NC during their careers. The complete randomness of the previous set-up was a lottery that made little over-arching sense (imo).
Congrats tot the other winners thus far, and thanks to reporters. .

Now also with the ITT :
Danish National Championships
On the subject of new format, great - dont want a 2 or 3nd tier rider winning a national jersey. PCM makes surprices but not absurd wins now, that is fine.

Well, Juul-Jensen can get top 5's in PTHC hills, but can't win his own NC with a dozen riders backing him.
This is the one NC I really wanted back with the team. Trash.

Two in the top five, happy about that. Very happy with the Würtz on 3rd place, hopefully he will be able to dominate the TT championship in the years to come!

No chance he won't. Miles ahead of the competition in Denmark. A huge future is ahead of him.
Happy with Quaade winning the TT title obviously but to be honest TT jerseys don't really do it for me because he won't be involved in actual TT results enough to ever even see it.
Bringing the Danish NC back to Denmark was a major goal of mine and I really thought JJ could do that after his season, but I was wrong. It just wasn't meant to be. Even with Hansen JJ just didn't have it. Must have been a bad day. Congrats to Spotify for the victory!
Don't think I have a contender in a single other NC, so that might be the end of the excitement already.

Awesome, what a win in Belgium! Having a team behind him definitely gave Vanbilsen the edge over the other favourites. Good to see him win a race this year after all.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Can't blame Vanspeybrouck for trying something. A pity he overpowered though. Well. Congrats, Ollfardh!

Congratulations on the win in Denmark, viking90! Also a strong race by Carlsberg, but after all it's only the win that counts in these NC races, so it wasn't quite to be.
Had hopes of Guldhammer fighting for the jersey, but unfortunately he simply wasn't strong enough. |

As expected in Belgium. Nothing from us in the RR and Cornu keeps his TT title for another year!

Finally here to read the NCs after a busy weekend off from home.
Belgium the most interesting for my team so far and I can`t complain. Nooytens could have done better I feel but not too bad. In the ITT it`s great to see Frison that good and also de Bie with a fantastic 4th. But it was always Cornu to win. Hence 2nd/4th is more than I had expected.
In general the new system seems to work well with mainly favourites winning. Here and there smaller surprises only but still no random riders.
Looking forward to the upcoming NCs and thanks for the great covering. |

Im not complaining, I think it is all very fine.
But I tend to think that longer races (hilly 175 - Flat 195) combined with a little more undulation in those flats, would take out Fake's in due time before the finals, giving a little more to the larger teams. may be worth some testing.
This combined with a NO CRASH rule, wouldent provide for longer reports, or worse results, reporters just fast forward as soon as the break has gone.
This may even provoke some MG riders to try a breakaway ones in a while forcing an occasional breakaway win or late attack win, something that I my eyes would be fine if only very rare,

After a whole season of me complaining about LLS not attacking, he finally does, in the NC. On the one hand, awesome attack but on the other, hoe come you didn’t do that when we were fighting relegation?
Congrats dev, I think it’s better the Spanish team gets the jersey anyway, especially as we might not even keep LLS. I’m glad for some good racing and proving these NCs can be attacked by outsiders.

Didn't have any riders capable of winning that Spanish RR so not disappointed there. In the TT, a great ride from Verona there who developed with us!

Oh yes, Fiji and Samoa jerseys going where they belong Who cares about TTs?
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

No surprise in Fiji. Good split there. Not sure about Salcone's future anyway.
