Top 5 goal should be likely if it wasn't for Scully and Clarke switching roles so likely another fail - or he could come 3rd

I can only hope that the hills at least some effect in thinning out the peloton or weakening some guys. Otherwise Docker will have a hard time placing here with his acceleration. Whatever happens, we want a top 10 here. Anything less is another failure.

Quick comment on the report, i got very confused with how the sprint played out. Seeing Nelson right on Kratfwerk wheels and then next thing he's 29th with no intermediary explanations of how the group behind lost contact or where non-kraftwerk riders were in between 5km and the finish. Left me confused.

Nelson, hills probably too much for him i guess (well that's the explanation i'm going to use). Julian substituing in his place but lacking that top end speed of the other main sprinters leaving him a bit behind. 4th is more than good for him though, if not for the team.
A number of our other riders in the Top30 but failing to pick up significant points. Far from the worst of races but we could have done with better.

It left me confused, didn't see what happened - just seemed like there was nothing left in the legs for most of the pure sprinters so they dropped backwards. Either that or PCM was using him as a leadout for Alaphilippe but honestly it was one of the most bizarre sprints I've seen.

Knowing PCM it probably was tiredness of many just having them drop back whilst the fresher domestiques came forwards without trying. Sometimes you've just got to shrug at cya-logic
