Given the rankings before these two races, we sure need those nice days

Sorry, but this is just my reporting style. Reporting a GT takes long time, while I don't really have much free time currently. Hope you'll enjoy it nonetheless

Yeah, that's why I started out by saying that I know they aren't all that interesting. They only are for me. So it's absolutely fine, and you are doing a great job, and putting things up at a nice pace. So no complains about the style, nor quality. It just bugs me not knowing why my riders aren't performing on a stage like that

Go, go Andrea!
Cool to have Manfredi up on his own that late in a stage. But he still needs to keep on pushing for the stage win or KOM-jersey. With Cattaneo's race done from crashes anything will be welcome to minimize Orange's losses.

Henao is having a good Giro, congrats!
More leaders crashing sucks.
The team did a good job controlling the breakaway and allowed Madrazo to score stage result points. Again he didn't do anything great, but certainly wasn't bad either. Hope to finally see some fireworks from him in the next stage.

Good day for Kwiatkowski, moving onto the cusp of the top 10. Let's hope he can consolidate that. |

Congrats to BPost, I'm not exactly sure what happened there.
Nerz seems fine at least (despite the third crash), I hope that there are some selective stages left as actually 10th could still be in reach, only 77 and 78 mo guys until then and none of them are better TTers either.
But first, we're back to Demare opportunities.

Pluchkin is basically making sure he gets to the 3rd week with as many energies left as possible. Seems like he couldn't care less about points and is just happy to keep his jersey.
Nice win for BPost - congrats CA - who if I'm not terribly wrong are definitely maximising the points they can get out of the Giro, should be good when they are fighting to stay up.

Daniele you crazy mofo! This is the 5th day in a row he joins the break, KoM jersey is very close now.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Thanks. Yeah we are having a superb race so far.
Huge win from Kruijswijk, who again just seems to be about the best pick-up from us in the transfer season. Well ens still attacking and it is nice to see him trying to put time into Guldhammer. I'm quite enjoying their little fight.
Neri with three crashes in two stages is a bit insane. I was supportive of the amount of crashes earlier in the season, but this race has been absolutely ridiculous. Maybe that will need turning down a bit in future.

Damn really - This was really the moment to make sweet music, and I am sure there were brown smears on pink tonight for Plushkin.
Madrazo is still looking strong and not convinced for some reason the Moldovon man is at his best. Alarcon basically is hurting him

I'm sorry for the lacks of posts so far from me. Really good job with reporting the race so far, sgdanny.
So far I can be quite happy with how my team performed. Denifl seems to have turned into an attacking rider. Unfortunately his attacks didn't pay off very often so far, but it's nice to see. Jang being the second rider of my team in the race to wear the KoM jersey is the next good news for me. I feel like I'm representing the PCT very well here, despite being at the bottom part of the PCT rankings. |

If only Denifl,Henao,Alarcon and Madrazo have raced like Wellens did at stage 8 Pluchkin would have cracked. That was the chance for Alarcon and Madrazo to win the Giro which they wasted.Pluchkin should probably increase his lead because Alarcon will probably fade in the final week and Madrazo will be disappointing as usual.
Kruiswijk and Van Stayen are having a very good race by the way.Alarcon and Henao as well. |

Oh, it sucks to see Keinath also out of it. We have too many of these team leaders crashing out of contention. I fear that it will happen to a top top favorite at one point, and not "only" top 6-15 guys.
Campero did well to keep with the group today, Novak fucked it up - Again...

Aww, that was a horribly dull stage for a queen one. At least great report with lots of build drama around Pluchkin. I can confirm that manager was close to fading out when it seemed like the race is lost. In the end nothing happened, apart from idiotic gameplay when crash of one domestique of our leader makes the peloton stop...
Congrats Count, it seems that you pulled out a lucky number here in Italy.
Now come on Pluchkin, can you show you are o e of the best climbers worldwide?
Now even 80 guys can stay with him, i blame overpowered daily form

Ouch, that was definitely Madrazo's chance to get close to Pluchkin in GC. Huge shame that he and Alarcon wasted it by going so late. 3rd in the stage is pretty nice though.
Also good to see Kangert and Formolo remain strong, which is actually making us a contender for the team classification.
Congrats Count! Kruijswijk has indeed been a great pickup.

Too close for comfort that, but great to see Jacopo get another stage win. Good performance from the team yet again.
Two sprint stages again, hoping Guarnieri will be at his best there again.
Thanks for the report, sgdanny.
