As races go, definitely above average there.
Not convinced that MNT came into it, maybe it did, but that wouldn't explain Diggle (65) in second place. I just think Hategeka had the good legs! |

crazy that Ferrero with 7th as best placed nearly gets as much points out of this as winning team MOL
it´s nice to see the opening race that open and not being a battle of 2 and a half

Given my results and racing from last season, 6th is pleasing to see and nice to have someone there at the end to contest. The team worked well for Alex, but sadly he couldn't finish it off at the end.
Well done to jaxika and Mol on the opening win and thanks rider for the report

Interesting opener! This has always been a bit odd off a race with it basically comming down to follow the one, big move. Still, not too 'terified' with what Ive seen of the Ai so far.

It's too early to call, but I've seen lots of sprints in PCM15 being started rather late instead of right at the marker as I feel it used to be, making positioning and acceleration maybe even more important than pure main stats.
Maybe this helped here, maybe Hatageka was just a monster, either way congrats to MOL! Thanks for a very nice report.

Somewhat gutted- not necessarily with the result itself, but the fact that we appear to have helped control large parts of the race, had two nen in the selection with Gaimon, carried out our plan to perfection- and still only managed a ninth.
On the bright side, however, we do have the best jersey in the peloton.

Surprised to see Dowsett and Barbin distanced in the sprint. Not good enough for us. Missed our first goal.
Atleast depth provided good scoring as a team.

Analysis from Kraftwerk HQ spot on - NOT
Gasore Hategeka
Does have decent mountains but Gascore doesn't have the finishing power to trouble Klemme.
Congratz to Jaxika
Thanks to The Rider for a great report and good to see a competitive race and a close finish, will make for an interesting season.
Pleased to see Soler getting the jersey on show with the first attack.
Klemme 3rd is slightly dissapointing but 3 in the top 15 makes up for that.
@cio93 - agree with you about PCM15 AI sprinting from ICL experience watching Cav getting passed by good Acc riders

Hmm pcm ai once again proves weird in these kinds of uphill sprints. Hategeka was in front but his positioning was apparently enough for him to hold the lead.
Klemme - Dowsett - Barbin is 1 - 0 - 0 so far, but expecting this to change with more proving races. Thanks for the report!

Well crap. Hopefully this is not a sign of things to come. Because that was bad, very bad. I wasn't hoping for much, but certainly more than Mygind being my best rider in 69th, especially considering De Maar was ranked 5th on the startlist.
Luckily it's a long season and I have other terrains to compete on, but I was definitely not expecting that, and it is certainly a bad way to start the season.

Great way for Hugentobler and Bohli to kick-off the season/the career!
Wonder if Schurter is okay, his downhilling skills could've helped him a lot. Pity the outside contender didn't make it, but nice showing by Sauber overall!
Gratz to MOL beating Dowsett and Klemme!

Bohli did well to get in the break in the first stage of his neopro season, hopefully it's a sign of things to come from him and that one day this year he'll find one that sticks.
Schurter's DNF is a little disappointing, as is Othman's no show.
However Hugentobler more than made up for that by getting his and the teams season off to a great start by just missing the podium in a tight sprint, ending up 4th. If that's what he has done on his first race after being maxed then I can't wait to se what he will do the rest of the year, at least he has carried that attack spirit he had on loan to UBS that last couple of seasons through to his return to his home team.

I'm dissapointed by Ilias and Bru, but not seeing them in the favourites was a sign that they wouldn't do something big

Thanks for the report.
An eventful debut for the World Cycling Centre organisation. Even before the race got underway, difficulties at our selected jersey production factory required an 11th hour temporary solution (thanks to Roturn for assistance!). Then our leader Rodriguez Galindo hit the deck - fortunately the team provided the necessary support to get him back to the right place in the bunch. Every time you hit the deck it inevitably has an impact, but we are pleased to report that after examination there are no long term impacts to endure.
Come the race finale, RG managed to grab onto the coat-tails of the winning move, but was then badly positioned as the group broke up on the way to the line (Colombian national jersey on the far-right).
A final result of 16th is a bit below what we hoped for, but at least it gets the first points on the board (although 4 points ain't much to write home about!). Great day for Hategeka and MOL, with the gamble to bring Pomoshnikov paying dividends. Not so for De la Cruz. Heavy and/or multiple point scoring placings by Ferrero, Kraftwerk and KAYAK provides them with a comfortable start to the season. Couple of other outfits left completely empty-handed, so WCC can't complain too much with the outcome.
A further training camp prior to our next outing at the Great Ocean RR at the end of the month should bring up our level now the season is kicking off .

Interesting to see the 'big two' get beaten like that. Good stuff from Hatageka, congrats jaxika! And an amazing example of depth scoring by Spilak. It's like being back in CT 2013.
