Very nice end to stage 2 with the overall contenders having a go at each other. No weaknesses shown by Trentin, though, he looks set for a brilliant race now, even extending his GC lead.

It's definitely great to see Risa-Ergon do well here, which should help them and their points haul again after a bit of a slow March and April.

Congratulations, tastasol! And thanks for the first two reports, FroomeDog and SN. Stage 3 could be interesting as well thinking of the GC after seeing how the last stage was raced.

Thanks ember, very cruical race for us indeed. The third stage also going our way, GC-wise. Looks very good at the moment.

Thanks for another brilliant report, FD/SN.

You can say a lot about how my team is doing in this race, but I would call this awesome teamwork:

172 Shane Archbold VolksWagen - Andritz s.t.
173 Daniel Paulus VolksWagen - Andritz s.t.
174 Rasmus Sterobo VolksWagen - Andritz s.t.
175 Christoph Taubel VolksWagen - Andritz s.t.
176 Lukas Postlberger VolksWagen - Andritz s.t.
177 Daniel Schorn VolksWagen - Andritz s.t.
178 Mike Aaron Egger VolksWagen - Andritz s.t.

So good friends you can't seperate them

Nice attempt of Scheit but as said, he is not strong enough. Unfortunately it wasn`t Bazzana in both stages as he would probably be able to get more points and possibly also could have challenged for todays stage. But can`t complain, this was good move by Scheit for sure and some extra points.

Boom losing a spot, Krieger/Sbaragli not sprinting is not perfect. At least Vanmarcke did try something and hopefully he will do again tomorrow.

Bummer for Cav, but Prio definitely needs such a stage. Wish my guys would join a breakaway again Smile

Visconti dropping further as expected. Those few guys ahead are simply the better sprinters. Still glad he's at least sitting in the front to finish relatively high. A Top-15 in the GC looks doable.

(Stage 1) As this happens there is news of a big group being dropped off the back of the peloton, and there are some favourites involved!

When I read this, I didn't even have to look at the names. OF COURSE the TomTom cobbled men dropped. I'm just going to give them away for free next transfer period Pfft

A 3rd and 4th place in the sprints are solid but won't make up for the solid GC we could've had.

Not much from Tinkoff up until now, so good to see Sulimov in the break, thanks for the reports Froomedog.

Hey you idiots, look at Prio and Aegon. That's what you do when you suck. YOU TRY NOT TO SUCK!

Wow, what a victory I'm amazed! I'm obviously happy to see Ferreira put in such a performance and grab us an important victory, in our least active month, especially since we're so down on the table already.

He should be good for the KoM competition too, and if he takes that, I guess that will make up for his subpar performance on stage 1.

This race doesn't seem to quiet down on the flat stages tough, so I guess there's still lots to happen.

16 & 57 by Ahlstrand on those two sprint stages... Rolling Eyes

23rd for Oscar Gatto must be called a good result as it is his best of the season. Nonetheless we shouldn't give up on the breakaway plan, there really is nothing to lose.

Love what my team is doing, they are reacting correctly after not being as strong on stage one as needed. Summerhill attacking late trying to see if he can get enough of a gap to gain some time, and Farrar kicking in the sprints. Just need that plan to work one day.

Expected Pozzato to do better in stage 2 & 3, so this is slightly disappointing. Guess the hills weren't hard enough.

But I can't complain of course, because he's still second in GC. He won't be a contender in the coming stages, so I'll just have to hope that the guys who are close to him in GC get beaten by other sprinters. Especially Haussler and Boonen are dangerous.

Also nice that Nardin had some decent finishes, giving him the 13th spot. Let's see whether he can finish top 15.

Now let's get into some breakaways.

Happy with the second place from Cavendish but we need a win and soon Mr Missile Smile

jt1109
Another man in the break so nothing to complain about hopefully we can keep this up on the next stages

No breakaway, no sprint participation, my 4 cobblers (Vanmarcke, Nooytens, Sbaragli, Bovenhuis) getting dropped in classic conditions...well at least Boom was in front I guess.

A 94 men front group with just two Puma riders in it.

Can someone confirm we're heading for a clean 0-pointer here?

Would still love to see Oz in a breakaway in next stage. Visconti/Afewerki doing well. Here's hoping they won't destroy those GC results on final day Smile

Congrats to Evo for the win and thanks for the report!

I got a feeling you're not alone about that...

At least Ahlstrand was on a picture just before the sprint, and 15th is better the those other stages
