PCM.daily's and PCM-Spain's DB Project - first screenshots
Article updated on Monday 23rd, 14.20 (CET)
A while ago, we announced that PCM.daily and PCM-Spain will cooperate to make a DB for PCM08. We said that we were aiming at making a Giant-like DB as the ones we know for PCM06, but that we would also make two lighter databases for those of you who don't like the large DBs. We have been prettry silent about the project since then, but the work has still been going on and progressed. Although we still don't have a final team list, we do have the very first screenshots of the DB available, and you can find them in this new album. So, there you go - some news ;)
A day later, we added a list on the 132 teams which have been added to the DB so far. You can see it by clicking on "Read More". Also keep in mind that you can still help us with finding a proper name for the cooperation between PCM-Spain and PCM.daily. For now, it's called PCM EU, but we're not too fond of that name ourselves, so come up with some good suggestions here.
It's that time of the year again, when we honour the good and the great of this and the whole PCM Community with the second annual PCM.Daily Awards 2008. I've dusted off the old tuxedo as the host of this year's event, and this year, the winner in each award will be decided via poll in the forums. Feel free to add your comments in those forums.
This year, we've got a good mix of old and new awards, with the customary most helpful member and member of the year joined this year by awards like best cycling photo and best download

Pro Cycling Manager 2008 landed in the French shops today, and to celebrate this Jeux Video - as the first media (if you don't count PCM.daily, of course ;)) - has published their review of the game. Overall, it's more of a look-through the new features of the game, but they do come forward with a few points: - Track is fun, but it's simple and only resembles a little part of the real track cycling. - Graphics are still not revolutionary, but they like the new backgrounds at the stages. - The new features in career mode works very well
Overall, the game gets 15/20, saying that "It's a big update, costing 45 €. The update focuses on what it should and is presented as a worthy follow-up to PCM07. It's very complete, and with the improved AI, PCM08 is a pleasant surprise" (Freely translated, I don't speak a whole lot of French)
