Weekly News #82
Weekly News

After a few weeks of radio silence, there's a few things to report in this week's Weekly News.

PCM.daily DB now compatible with Patch 1.4.0.0
We got to admit that we were quite surprised to see another patch released for Pro Cycling Manager. When we released the latest database we did say we were done working on the 2012 DB, but the latest patch did prompt us to release an update to avoid the pink logos.

So, if you've installed Patch 1.4.0.0, get this file to avoid issues. By the way, we might have one last 2012 DB-trick up in our sleeve. More information within the next couple of days.

Cyclocross now on PCM
The road season is slowly coming to an end, but that also marks the beginning of the cyclocross season, a great time for whoever's interested in muddy Belgian criteriums.

As previous years have shown, making a cyclocross database for PCM isn't the easiest task as it requires new graphics, completely revamped calendar, teams, riders etc. - yet it seems that we may be in for a treat this year with the StanosCrossBase.

With its 58 teams, real races, textures, playability in career etc.,there's plenty of reasons to download the new cyclocross database.

Vesuvio wins Management Game
The latest season of the Management Game has come to an end with SportingNonsense's Vesuvio team on top of the rankings. The team took a dominant win ahead of Pearl Adidas and Sony Ericsson while the individual ranking was won by Santander's Angel Madrazo with Riccardo Ricco and Damiano Cunego coming in on the following spots.

There's still a ot of national championships to be done before the season comes to a final end. After this, it will be possible to apply to become a part of the game. Keep your eyes open in the ManGame part of the forum.

We have a few more winners
As announced a week ago, everyone who submited stages and tips to the respective sections of PCM.daily would take part in a lot where we'd pick a few winners of the Focus Home Interactive-games Divinity II and Yesterday.

The time has come to announce the winners who've been lucky enough to get picked - and they are:
lluuiiggii wins Yesterday
Margh Norway wins Divinity II

You can claim the prizes by sending me a PM.

Cyanide announce Armada Update for PCM12
News

As a small surprise to the community, Cyanide has now announced that they will release a new update for Pro Cycling Manager 2012. The update will introduce some new features for Armada mode including energy, fatigue, rider contracts, legendary cards and a leaders jersey for the number 1 team in the rankings.

For a full description of the new features, click Read more.

Another chance to win games
News

As warned yesterday, the giveaways are not completely over.

We still have a copy of both Divinity II and Yesterday up for grabs, and we'll do what we can to find a new home for the two games.

This time, all you have to do is to get a tip/trick or a stage approved in the respective sections of the site. Everyone who does that takes part in a lot where the first name to come up will win 'Yesterday', the next will win 'Divinity II' - both kindly provided by Focus Home Interactive.

We've recently set up new categories for the tips section, so it's also possible to submit editing guides for e.g. making shirts, stages and databases.

You can submit a trick here and stages for the Stage DB here.

The deadline for sending in content is on Friday the 5th of October at 23:59 CET.

We have a winner (or two)
News

Not only did you have a chance to win PCM$ in the two World Championship races that took place this weekend.

Focus Home Interactive also sponsored a few games that could be won by anyone who guessed the winner of the U23 and the Elite races.

Just two members had betted on the winner of the U23 race, Alexey Lutsenko, which obviously made their chances of winning very high. In the end, though, the Divinity II game goes to Pavuk. Congratulations!

In the other race, far more got it right that Philippe Gilbert would be the next rider to wear the rainbow jersey. 52 members, to be exact, but in the end, the winner of the 'Yesterday' game is Ricotero_uy. Congratulations to you too!

You can claim the prizes by sending me a private message.

We still have one copy of each game up for grabs. They will be given away in two contests that we will be announcing later today.
