GP Herning
GP Herning is an annual cycling event that takes place in and around Herning, Denmark. Since 2008, the race has been organised as a C1 event on the MG Europe Tour.
The race organizers were unable to secure sponsorships for the 2011, 2013 and 2014 editions of the race and were forced to cancel the events, but this year the race is back on the calendar as an C2HC event.
None of the past winners are present this year, so maybe we can see a Danish rider taking the GP Herning for the first time? Home crowd pressure for Niki Østergaard, who already finished 16th in 2010 (riding for Team Telenor-SAS) and is co-leading Carlsberg (together with Marc De Maar).
Looking at the startlist it looks like Strava has the strongest line-up with Langeveld leading, the other favourites might be on their own fast, but a bigger group sprint is possible aswell.

Brought my strongest cobblers here, so I expect absolutely nothing. Hopefully a break magically survives or magically the cobbles have 0 selectivity so Kuznetsov can go Kuznetsov mode.

Rathe has surprised me a lot (positive way) in the Benelux Challenge, so I'm hoping on a top 10 here.

Ah, the dreaded home race and win goal. Before the season I assumed we'd be the favorite's again in the cobbles, but the cobbled scene flooded too much.
It's still a very important race to me obviously. I desperately need Ostergaard to get leadership, and since the startlist isn't sorted, I'll just have to wait and see. The only thing I can hope for is that with the pan flat but tough root, Ostergaard's backup stats will help. If we use our team right, and Ostergaard attacks from distance, we have a shot at a podium I think.
Very much looking forward to this one, despite the fact that I don't have much of a chance. Maybe the Nationality bonus is real after all?

Here's hoping for a top 15 result.
Gotta stay optimistic, right?

Ok so I'm completely screwed, but still can't fault a guy for not making cobbles a focus in the CT, eh?

On one hand we want to do well in Denmark. On the othr hand we suck on cobbles. Granted: Some suck more but we'll need a fair amount of luck for Dahlberg to do anything noteworthy.

Can't remember why I'm racing this, I guess it's because it's C2HC I think.
Gil is an very far outside chance, I guess my only real hope is that one of my Danes (Mørkøv or Sobota) can hold on and be the best sprinter.

Great idea to show the cobble stat for all riders in the startlist. Gives a nice overview of team strength.

We have to be going all-in for the win here. Anything else will just be a massive disappointment.

Crap, I should have known having De Maar here would make PCM be stupid and make him leader. And this is a completely flat race.
The only thing I can hope for is that one of them attacks and one of them follows. That worked well in the other cobbled classic, thought that was hilly.

Mid-way break
Thanks for the start of the report, but you got me all excited
Nice to see Hagen and Franczak have a go, even if they didn't succeed, a bit of a shame though as both are alright on the cobbles and good sprinters.

You tease!
Just asking, is this going to be a long or short break - basically is it worth staying up for or should I wait until morning?
