So I downloaded some 2014 stages for PCM 2013. However the stages do not appear in the game (so I can't race them). How do I solve this? |

Is this in a career or single race mode?

You obviously have followed the guide by lluuiiggii that explains step-by-step how to add a stage using an advanced editor, right? Or are you talking about the variants?

That looks so complicated
Why can't I just add the races I downloaded and start a carreer. I want to play now, not after 10+ hours of extra modding. |

Can you quickly make a screenshot or post how you named the stages?
And is it stages for existing races or a completely new race?
And the link might look complicate, but it`s really easy.

Sorry but if the races that you want to add are not in the database you are using already you'll be forced to spend some extra time, and even though it looks complicated it really isn't, just follow the guide and you're done, I couldn't expain it in a better way
Otherwise, you could check if that stage is already in the db, and naming it properly you won't need to add it all-over again but the game will see it as a variant.

I'll explain my situation in more detail.
I still have PCM13 but I downloaded a 2014 DB (teams, stats, jerseys...). It has the 2014 route for the Giro and some classics, but the rest of the calender is still the 2013 route. So I downloaded the 2014 routes of some important races (all stages come from this thread). I now want to be able to play those 2014 routes in combination with my 2014 DB in a new carreer on PCM13.

Can I overwrite the current races or do I need to delete them and make entirely new ones (so I don't end up with two TdFs). |

Usually if you just name the year different, you could decide, in what season you get what variant.
So when renaming the tour stages like top_tdf_01_2014 and so on, this variant is used in 2014. So when you start to name the files before starting the career or for future seasons, you should go fine this way. |

For the record: the guide linked above is for adding completely new races to the DB. To do that, you need to edit the database. However you only want to add a new version (variant) of an already existing race; in this case, you only have to care about naming the stage files correctly. You don't need to overwrite or delete the current stage files, just rename the new ones with the correct suffix (as roturn explained in the post above) and place the stages in the CM_Stages folder. That's all

It doesn't work. What exactly do I have to change? Here are some of the downloaded stages, already in the right map.

What exactly do you want to do, first? I see a lot of tdf stages, in that case you don't need to edit anything, just put them in the right path (and you've done it correctly), make sure that they're named correctly (and they are) and select them in game (Stage Race -> TDF -> Upper Right Corner, use the arrow keys to select the right variant and play).

Well that doesn't work. They don't appear in the game. |
