Excellent mountain stage by Olivier. Pity it wasn`t the win but attacking with 20km out and podium then is just great. 5th in the GC as well now!
Still weird that he is losing on both hill stages while gaining on the mountain stages.
Was actually expecting it to be the other way around. In especially the 6th stage was disappointing.
That said Thurau as 8th on that stage did well but surely would have been smarter to go for the GC guy instead.
Thanks for the reports and now onto the final flat stage. |

Pathetic...
Of course we can't win when actually beating the right riders. Koretzky crashing and Vasyliv losing time on his puncture and woopsi-fucking-doo another bundle of points pissed away.

A great race for the PCT so far, dominating the sprints and now Uran looks all set like the GC winner. Deserved for Minions after many bad performances, and a truly huge result in their quest to stay safe of relegation. A congrats to fintas and Berg also. Great stage win for Nazaret, and now sitting with two riders top 10, 14th, KoM and team classification. We've choosen very different strategies this season, but I have to just admire the depth being shown! Hopefully we'll be in the same divison next year as well.
That being said, we were cheering for our Swedish friends and Tim Wellens. Unfortunately a bad day, but at least hanging on to the podium :/

wow what a stage for the team!!!
I was a little disappointed with Nazareth because the loss of time on the hill stages had been too much and seemed a bit unexplained. But it seemed that everything was strategic.. A big win that puts him in the top 15, Marquez again very consistent doing a great race that just is not better due to the hill stages. And Chiarello again with a great race considering that he is far from being one of the best riders in this race.
If the last stage runs within normality we will end the race with a great result, 2 in the top 10 plus 1 in the top 15 in addition to the stage win, mountain and team classification.

Some good couple of stages for Boswell. Going into the breakaway in the last stage seems to have secured him a top 30 in the overall GC.
Aru finishing 13th would be pretty good, while Herrada also being in the top 20 is a nice bonus.

Ouch Schelling sucked here, this has been a race to forget from him. Bummer losing Frank as well.

As expected Wellens drppping down atleast His managed podium even IF its expected it still hurts a bit pre-race I would be very happy with 3rd but as it turned out a bit dissapointed.
And Cort Nielsen crashing means neither him or Lövkvist in top 30 which I believed they could reach easy which sucks big time and makes this race a bit worse. |

Rosskopf has kept himself in the top 30 GC nicely which is fine for him as a personal goal.
For the last stage i'd like to see Houle up there but more then likely it's going to go to the break which we need to be in! |

Wow, what a turnaround! And Minions now looking set for a big, big race. Congratulations on a brilliant stage! The same goes to fintas on the stage as well, but also to roturn for an amazing Olivier, also climbing to 5th place overall.
Assuming everything stays the same on the final stage, surely a very good race for Festina as well, and also a decent, but not more, for Puma too with Herklotz in 4th and Kelderman in 12th.
Feel sorry for our Swedish friends and their Belgian leader though, as this looked to be the perfect race for Wellens, at least six stages in, but loosing everything on the final decisive stage. Good thing he at least stays at the podium, but unfortunate to see Cort crash from a decent GC placing.
And thank you for the nice reports from the race, Aquarius97! Wonder if a PCT team can grab that final stage win as well? |

Haha, ofcourse Lövkvist loosing time on the last stage and dropping down to 37th in GC and Cort Nielsen ending at 86th. Both of them with 77 MO and 74 HI. Looking at the preview where Cort Niesen also is included that result from them is really bad.
Im very happy Wellens kept the jersey for a few stages to collect some pts loost by our 2nd tier GC riders. All in all a decent race for us.
Thanks for the support ember & tastasol!
Thanks very much for reporting Aquarius97!
And congrats to marco for the win! |

Decent, but not more. Thanks ember for summing it up perfectly. 250-300 points, I'd guess.
Thanks for the reports, congrats Minions! Deserved win after a season full of disappointments.

I could see cio getting a mental breakdown when Kelderman dropped again and again, only to calm down a bit in the end when nothing happened
We came with expectations of top 3, atleast 2nd in U25, a stagewin and a top 20-25 from Vasyliv or Koretzky. We almost got it all.
We got 2nd in the GC, 1st in the U25, a nice bonus 3rd in the KOM, a stagewin and 29th from Vasyliv, which would have been 20th if not for his puncture.
So despite it being dreadful to lose the GC win to a rider behind Lecuisinier on stage 7 it has turned out to be as good, as expected. Much like Puma, I expect the total count to be in the region of 250-300. Hopefully closer to 300, which will expand our lead to 500 points before Moser will claw back in the remaining races of the month. With some luck it could be neck to neck by the end of the month.
Thanks for some great and fast reports, and congrats to all winners. Especially minions!

Nah, those stages never produce any gaps.

almost had a heart attack while reading the stage report. all those gaps could throw everything to waste and turn a big race into just one more race for the team, but luckily none of this happened.
This was undoubtedly a great race for us with 3 riders in the top15 and victories in the team and mountain classifications. Despite all the positive aspects, Silvestre continues to disappoint and not be able to fight for the stage wins.
we should get close to 350pts that will be very important for the promotion.
Congrats minions and thanks for the great reports

Good result by Paajanen on the last stage, but little comfort as our closest rivals in the relegation battle won it all
