Thanks for this SN!
I wonder why some people are actually so keen to be selectors, when they just have shit rider (and why they even nominate 66 overall rider that has 0.00 chance to make the race in strong nations) or rider that will suck hard on this type of terrain. Especially for those counties that have like 5-10 selectors already.
I would like to be a selector for Czech Republic, Russsia, South Africa and Ukraine.
I nominate:
Frantisek Rabon
Haijun Ma
Nolan Hoffman
Mikhail Ignatiev
Jaroslav Popovych
Vitaliy Popkov
Anatoliy Pakthusov
Andriy Vasylyuk
Sergiy Lagkuti
Oleksandr Grygorenko

The more selectors the better the team generally.

At least for me, even if I nominate a rider, I don't vote him if I feel there are better options in the shortlist.

As long as they don't vote for their own shitty riders when far better riders are available I think it's OK to nominate them. IMO I don't know how many active teams there are, so eventhough the french riders I have isn't worthy of a place in the lineup, they might be if too many teams are inactive. France is not a good example of course, but some other nations might be.

Always got to remember the TTT as well for some nations that need to meet the quota. |

The more selectors, the better team (generally)
If one selector really wish to destroy the team just in order to bring in his own shitty riders, then it is a good thing we are more selectors so we avoid that happening
I nominated all my available riders. Not because all of them deserve a place (even in the B-championship) but because my team is mainly built up by minor nations and even though there may be better riders in another team than Compal, it's good to have a wider pool to choose from, f.ex would some selectors maybe want to bring one rider with a 83FTR attribute instead of a 69SPR, even though the total attributes of the first rider is way weaker than the latter.
I think it is nice to have a good variety of riders available for selection and then we choose the best mix of riders available of each nation. I'm not a selector because I want my own riders in, but simply to help put together the most realistic and best starting line-up for that country.

In general it dosen't really matter how many riders are nominated, chanses are anyway big that the best riders will be chosen. The biggest nation will have quite a lot of selectors and even if everyone tries to get their rider in they should cancel eachother out.
On a side note, I really hope Germany win this. Should be able to get quite a sick leadout. Just afraid that Mohs might be tired in the end (I guess he will be the leader considering that Ciolek wont race)

I got it by now guys, no need for every manager to defend himself, especially as it was not meant as some kind of attack. So sorry if i offended someone
It was rather a rhetorical question and obviously not about countries like Poland or Honk Kong.
I thought that SN or whoever will make the selectors PMs would have less to do if we havent nominated shit riders with 65stamina for countries with much better ones. But what you guys are saying make sense too.
@Heine: To your side note i think that maybe rider like Mohs is not a favourite on this course with 62 hill and several all-around beasts on the startlist.
Actually i fancy countries like Russia (if Oleg will nominate) or Italy 100% more, as Gusev-Ignatiev-Trofimov or Ponzi-Ulissi-Pozzato sounds like incredible powerhouses. In ideal world of course.

Just from the perspective of the person who actually tallies up the votes, sends out the PMs and so on, most (not all but certainly most) people do indeed vote for whoever will make the best team and there are always a ton of riders who receive no votes at all.

Yep that is why I didn't nominate any sprinters, hopefully the selectors do the same, could be a really cool WC if the team line-ups are chosen smartly, I only see 6/7 countries who could/should go all-in for the sprint option. The other countries could make it a crazy race! Italy is favourite for me this year (road race).

Just to note that all teams in the road races will have a limit of 8 riders. Startlists in PCM13 don't appear to allow 9 riders in a team, unless there is 22 teams or less in the race.
