Congrats to the winner!
I'm quite happy with Richeze in 6th, especially after losing Andriato. Still, podium would've been nice |

I like how you keep callind the guy from Mobil Cabrera, when it's actually Dall'Antonia.
Well, 10th by Tiziano is a good result. 19th by Raúl is a nice bonus, but expected a bit more.
Wow, I must have been hallucinating because I even checked the results to make sure I had everyone's placing correct in the writeup. Very funny

A very good race for AMEX-Navigon with 121 points in the bank.
Nizzolo 2nd and cobbler/sprinter Breschel 9th, so 2 in the top 10.
Then we added 3 more riders in the points:
De Hass and Mehr-Wenige finished 24th and 25th and Jake Keough battled in for 28th.
Top 7 riders finished in the same time as the Winner and only young sprinter Luke Keough was +3'12 - still much better than the big split guys who obviously gave up the chase.
Next up for AMEX is Bayern Rundfahrt a 5 day tour with 3 flat stages (Nizzolo will lead the sprinters), 1 Hilly stage where Ian Boswell will make his AMEX debut. The last stage is a TT and we will be helpless and can only hope Boswell can have enough of a gap to stay in the top 10 of the GC.
Jerome Baugnies, after winning the Down Under Classic, returns with a chance to do more damage if they let him get away from the Sprinters.

Nice win for Impey!
And Signorini finishing in the front group on a flat day with a huge split? Looking promising now hopefully
Thanks for the report!

Sprinters like Kip would always going to have a gamble here, even though I'm rather surprised to see such a long list of contenders dropping. Of course, this hill would always cause some damage.
Yeah, but it does not make sense to see likes of DiMaggio dropped there. This seems rather like random signature PCM14 split from nowhere
Great and expected wiin for Impey, congrats FroomeDog!

In the break, 4th and 12th place. Very happy with that. Congrats to Impey and Froomedog on a well deserved victory, given their efforts in the whole race.
Thanks for an interesting and good report, Bushwackers.

At least no worst case scenario: anonymity. Seeing young Simon Pellaud active in his first career breakaway made the trip to Spain worthwile.
Vontobel's hopeful were not strong nor attentive enough to make it on the right side of the split... strange that only our weakest punchers survived.
Gratz to Impey who seems to be in his prime early shape and thanks to Bushwackers for the entertaining report!

With opportunities like that, i'm sad that no riders from my team tried the breakaway. And Drakakis is our first rider in 50th place I hope that we open our scoreboard on the next racedays

After Kip dropped I already thought the race was over for my team. But I underestimated Nepomnyachsniy. Awesome result for him in 3rd, beating far stronger sprinters. The first time since the founding of the team that one of my sprinters gets on the podium. |
