16th is probably a decent result for Quintana here. Would have liked to eek a couple more places out and finish top 15 for sure, but realistically there are only a couple of riders ahead of Quintana that he could have finished ahead without some crazy shenanigans. Phinney finished one spot ahead after all. So, not a bad job by Quintana against very tough competition, and he will certainly have lots of similar chances throughout the year.
Aranburu is 37th is unremarkable but fine given his lack of stamina, and the rest of the team finished the race to snag their own points. Overall a fine showing in a secondary race for us.
Congrats to cio and thanks for the report!

What a ride!
In control from the start of the final climb, and despite having the superior punch, not waiting for any sprint shenanigans.
Incredible how Silvio keeps negating the 85-84mo disadvantage, although ideally we won't have to any more this season.
That's our first goal well achieved, hopefully the rest of them will follow with the big one coming up soon!
I appreciate the kind congratulations and thank you whitejersey for the suspenseful and quality reporting!
Happy New Year everybody!!

Morton did exactly what was probably his best in this field so 4th place is acceptable for us. All those ahead are arguably stronger/better riders than Morton so theres no complaints from us and we still beat Phinney as well!
Williams coming home in 20th after a strong day is also very good for us as well - all in all its a good race for us.
Congrats to cio for a good win here, Herklotz is unstoppable!

Decent result by Warchol. And I'm also content with four riders in the top 50.
Congrats cio!
Nice report, whitejersey

Wellens with a solid ride to deliver as expected for 6th. He doesn't have the strength of the Top 4 and so it was always going to be a battle for 5th which he hasn't quite managed but 6th is a great result No real depth points with Soler and Fernandez but no issue there.
Congrats to Cio on the Herklotz win! Thanks also for a great report!!

All our riders managed to finish, so that's pretty much a good race for us considering the squad we sent. Big congrats to cio on a big and prestigious win!

7th place for Sivakov is acceptable, sick podium with Herklotz, Kudus and Lecuisinier. Thanks Ulrich Ulriksen for the race report!
Edit: Thanks whitejersey

9th from Barguil feels about right in this field – will happily take the points for finishing from the rest of the squad I put together from spared RDs here. Thanks for the report! |
