Really anxious to see if my cobble team can support Senechal to great results in the classics this season.

More racing we don't participate in which puts even more emphasis on our first outing in this category in Hallstatt, but this could make for a decent indicator whether Declerq will find any success as a sub-sub-top leader later this season.
Anyone but Bewley, please.

Interesting fight behind Bewley. Teunissen has a chance to score well here.

A bit too much PCT scoring of rmy liking, even more sad I forgot to send in my choices now. Congrats Moser, we'll be saying that a lot again this year.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Well here is your reason for the peleton being destroyed behind. Carlsberg, Gazelle, Swisslion and Volvo were clearly not happy with the size of the break up the road, and were driving hard on the front.
What the f...?! Young lads missed the break and decided to empty themselves early on??
Well at least they got a mention
Congrats to Moser and thanks to the_hoyle for the report

Chapeau, Bewley! A great effort from Wisniowski, but unfortunately heart break. But very encouraging to see him being so string, just a bit too long to the line in the end. Not happy with 11th, but certainly with his riding and three amongst the 17 best.
Great race for Theuns, already showing his value here. And Bewley is as always a monster.

Holy toledo we were actually sort of good! Bridges visible, Altur showing ability and desire, and even G got himself a mention in his farewell season...
I'm shocked... shocked!

That was interesting. Bewley won when he decided to win. That much was always going to happen.
The race wasn't as selective as I hoped, but VSB stuck around and somehow put in a good sprint to get a top 5. I was very pleasantly surprised to see that. If he can be consistent like this all year, he doesn't need to win. Top 5 PT points help us quite a bit. He seemed complacent, but in the end, it worked out.
I gotta wonder though, what happened to Sinkeldam? Gone so early and finishes 70th, behind even Ostergaard. That's just a bit weird. Last year he was consistently finishing ahead of Nolf. In a relegation fight where every point matters, it would be nice if he could help out VSB or at least stay in the top 25ish finishers.
Thanks for a great report! Cognrats to Roman and commiserations to tastasol.

zzZZZZzzZZzzzzzZzzzz, but a good race!
Great to see so many promoting teams do well, especially because that also means we didn't concede many points to the few teams present that are expected to end up further towards the top of the rankings.
It's slightly worrying to see some decent riders caught out, I hope that won't be as much of a problem when they're team leaders.
Heartbreak for Wisniowski, but surely this AI will bring plenty more opportunities for a rider with his stats along the way.

Well that was bad, really bad for us hope this is not a sign of how Stallaert will preform in this version of the game.
Only 14th is not good enough even if it is agains PT riders aswell..
Thanks for reporting! |

This is the kinda points we need form a race where I would have accepted anything inside top 20. So cool to see Ferreira hang in there to the end, got me worried when the underdog suddenly went all in, but he obviously had the legs to make it hard.
Congratulations to Moser, expected but well deserved win.
Amazing report with a lot of great details hoyle....thanks

Happy enough with Spengler taking 8th, but really pleasantly surprised with the 19th from Grand!
Congrats to Roman, Bewley proves he is a level beyond everyone once again.

What a race! Bewley winning in a way like a big beast and also Hnik and Boros got quiet 16th and 25th place. Surely won't have many better races during this year! Was quite a bit nervous before this race as I am not really sure about this year's version AI. But well when it comes to Bewley in cobble races, it may end up being fine for me.
Looking at the results, quiet a bit unfortunate ending for Grieg after Wisniowski's brave attempt. On the other way Generali surely have to be happy with this result for Theuns. Surely another nice result to confirm their decent start in their first PT journey.
Thanks for all those nice posts and also thanks for the report, the_hoyle!

Vanmarcke in the podium. Wow. That was amazing. Seeing the results, it was a weird first cobbled experience, seeing some of the dropped ones, and the huge gaps apart from the leading group.
These are the kind of points were to put ourselves ahead of the relegation zone, specially with the triple clash coming up and us having a rather weak team in all the races

Congrats Bewley, thanks the_hoyle for the report.
Tenth is a decent result for Zepuntke, but he appears to be empty at the end of the sprint. If he had timed slightly better he might have finished in a better position.
No Moulingui-esque attempt like last year, but I reduced my cobblestone squad so we're more unlikely to get in the break for those kinds of results. Albert and Lindeman with some good placings as well.

Wow that is just shockingly bad.
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Congrats Roman, after poor showing in Qatar, Bewley simply had to shine here again.
Thanks the_hoyle for the report.
We´ve got some time on TV due to presence in break and also 4 points for minor placings, wow!

If there is one rider, who doesn`t care about the game version, it might be Bewley.
Working since PCM07 I guess and not stopping.
It was close though as Wisniowski gave it a huge fight in a race that was ridden fast and explosive with long range moves from 50km onwards.
Likely the way to beat Bewley, going all-in from further out and in case of getting caught, hoping someone else is able to beat him afterwards. Not today though. |

The last couple of races have been very exciting, and all of cobbles, climbs and breakaways seem a lot cooler with PCM18. However I don't like the hills and sprint AI yet, though the hills seem more realistic at least. Some sort of tradeoff has been made, and to each individual it's their choice whether to love it or hate it.
That said, congrats Roman and Sam Bewley! And thanks for the great report!
