Really nice riding by Kwiat! 6th place and also LLS gets a top 10, great for a flat stage especially given it was too hard for Sobota. Hopefully this translates to good racing for them tomorrow. Where it'll be important to drop Sicard (so he can't take the leaders jersey on the MTT) and not get crushed by Kinoshia (so he can't take it into the MTT) but maybe that's asking too much.
Thanks for the well-detailed report too tsmoha and congrats Spilak on the stage! (I did want to see a Generalli win though )

Let's laugh instead of cry... I didn't have many hopes of a good result of Cunego here, but losing several time in the flat stage... I really hope we can have riders in breakaways in every stage left, because if not, this race will bury any promotion hopes we still have.
Also, Tanovitchii being Zabel'd

So far so good.. Prologue was decent and all our main guys finished in the peloton in a flat stage with gaps (something that hasnt been happening recently)
Really cruel finish tho.. Rinner had a good performance and maybe it's a sign for the next few stages.

Nice report thanks.
After reading that very glad that we did not lose it all today, came home with just 1 minor rider losing time, just here to get his young feets wet. A very good result.

Not losing time is good, but I think this stage could have suited our riders a bit better than what we showed.

Happy with the first stage win, shame we lost the jersey straight away but Dennis is in a good position hopefully for the rest of the race!

Ignatiev looking super strong, shame for Tamagotchii being Zabel'd

Ignatiev being impressive here.
TT, Flat and Hill Stage.
And he is having a 2-1-2 here, which shows, how good he is on different terrains.
Guess Kudus, Denifl, Sicard the big winners today as the didn`t lose much on Kinoshita and were able to stay with Kwiatkwoski and Roche. Same for Cataldo as well. |

Nice 3rd place by Kwiat! Finally playing a hill stage okay, I think Rabottini crashed and LLS threatened to be rubbish but pulled himself together to get 11th and put himself in prime position for a top 10, Padun is riding really nicely too.
Unfortunately we couldn't quite keep that gap in Sicard and the climbers, which was essential for the GC, I expect that he'll take the lead tomorrow given the only 6 second gap to Kwiat and I don't think we'll get back around him after that, Denifl and Kudus should also jump past Kwiat, but he might be able to get back at them on Stage 5, we'll see.
Congrats on the win Valverde and of course, thanks once again tsmoha!

I have to boycott the races reported by tshoma because it seems that my leaders love to have crashs with him ...

Ignatiev is such a beast
Marcato with a great performance being top25 with his 72 in hills, way better than Cunego with his 76... Well, why i'm even surprised of Cunego's bad showings...
Great reports tsmoha!

There's the expected time loss. Hopefully we can still pull something off. Not sure what Klemme had for breakfast but I surely wouldn't want to have that

Well It's starting to derail in the GC field.. but Schlegel and specially Rinner look really eager to get the KOM jersey, maybe they can pull off a surprise that'd be a major achievement.
Thanks for the report tsmoha and what to say of Kinoshita... Brutal!

Good to see Denifl staying with the first favourites group. The mountain TT is his biggest chance at a stage win in a really long time. I hope he doesn't mess this up! |

looks like this race is shaping up nicely. Kinoshita with a stage win and now in 2nd in the GC, Shikai well placed of the climbers too, so possibly both finishing in the Top 10 would be a good result for us.

Sicard managed to fight back, so, next stage is going to be very, very exciting. Anything can happen. |
