Well, I guess all I can hope for is that Evonik doesn't get many minor points as well.
Oh please, can't you wish a team that is 11 places under you in the rankings some luck ?

I am afraid that this race will be just like last season for Zepuntke...
Avermaet should take this, great for him to race a cobble race without Bewley. Will be really bad for him if he can't win when Bewley is away (no pressure :-p)

7th is not bad, and GvA second, good win for Boeckmans.

Very weird strategy by my team. Looked as if at no time there were more than two of my guys near the front of the peloton and Greg wasn't protected by anyone. Definitely not ideal.

Strava is just unbelievable..
Was hoping for a little more then 6th myself. No idea why we were chasing our own teammate. I would've prefered a sprint with 4 obviously, but I guess 6th in a group sprint is acceptable.
Thanks for the report!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Well, I would have been perfectly fine with better cobbles riders infront on Stallaert but seeing a weaker cobble guy like Boeckmans winning this hurts a bit but congrats Shonak!
5th is still decent and Joeri looked strong the last meters, the support from his teammate always was going to be a bit weak we knew that before the season. |

That was discouraging to say the least. We didn't do anything what so ever. Tom David distanced for no reason at all, and Pieter Jacobs just sitting there doing nothing.
One to forget obviously - and luckily for us that was the only PTHC cobbled race. We should be very very lucky to even out the points scored on cobbles from last season when looking at this crap.
Also sucks to lose 1400€ on betting on GVA. Shame on you!

Huge win for Strava. Didn't expect it here, but ofc those guys like Boeckmans or Stallaert are dangerous with no bigger selection at the front. GVA 2nd is still an acceptable result, I guess, but indeed it's a bitter sweet runner-up without Bewley and against someone like Boeckmans.
Thanks for the report.

Guess you're right. Probably will feel quite okay for me tomorrow but right now I can't enjoy the result too much.

Bakari nr 1(00)! PT dominance that, with only two riders from PCT in the top 10. Surprising to see such a big group coming together, in a race I'd say it's tougher than Gent-Wevelgem for example. Obviously a great result for Strava. No favourite you say, Shonak, but you still have that Strava magic. Congrats!

When we had two guys in the final selection, I started hoping for a top 10. Breschel was disappointing and Nolf has no sprint, but at least De Maar god showed up and we got some depth points with Lee as well. Could have been worse.

Tbh there was only one team I'd have liked to steal "GVA's race" and that is exactly Strava. What a race from Boeckmans!
From a PCT teams point of view also decent that less PCT teams scored over expectations here

While this was never expected to be somewhere I would score big points I must admit that I'm rather disappointed with Kulppi not even making the top 50.
He will have to improve on that in the remaining of the spring if he wants me to refrain from signing a stronger cobbles-leader next year...
Had hoped to see GvA take the win, but happy that the ones to beat him is exactly Strava.

Eh, this was really disappointing to read after the equally disappointing season start. Teunissen is a bit too mediocre a bit too often for no real reason. Theuns has been pretty bad too, looks like the training won't be worth it at all on a short term basis.
We really gotta step it the hell up if we want to promote like we'd probably deserve. Thanks anyways for the great report Abhishek and nice to see Strava getting some solid luck there!

Wouldn't be a proper season without Strava winning a cobbled classic - congrats Shonak!
A bit weird that GVA was very unaggressive though, with Evonik even willing to put a man in the break. Obviously he still got a good result though, if not quite the win he was looking for. Same a bit for Stallaert, who probably should've made the podium in that sprint.
Thanks for the report Abhishek!

Thanks for the congratulations and thanks to Abi for a great report, loved reading it. Obviously I am over the moon with this result. I quietly hoped for Top 5 in a reduced bunch sprint but Boekmans winning here trumps it all. It's really some of that Strava magic in the air, not sure how we deserved that lol. Sucks for GVA & Stallaert who have been my favs for this race. At least the former one will surely make it up though in the big races to come. The latter I am not sure since he didn't outsprint our fav staminamonster but notorious slow sprinter Baugnies and this should have been really cut down perfect to his abilities.
Honestly, Omloop has often been a reduced bunch sprint in my games and in ICL afair, so I am not surprised that a rider like Boekmans wins this one, albeit still fairly quite surprised that Boekmans won it. His sprint and acceleration did the trick in the final km I imagine. Just had to hang on for his dear life on the pavé. I like to imagine that Langeveld turned the tides for us in this pavéd battle & of course we were lucky that the peloton caught the attacks of Baugnies et al.
Well, that's our debut victory for this season now, looking forward to the next couple of races. Maybe we get some momentum going.

Really happy for Strava, and sorry knockout for jinxing it
It's not often that you see such a favorites group being brought back by scattered domestiques, that was an interesting finale.
Lots of PT teams up front, but I guess most of them are either not relevant for us in the big picture or scored about as or lower than expected.
Thanks for a good report, and don't worry about that keyboard mess-up.

Just noticed I forgot to congratulate the winner
Of course not happy that someone else took the victory but Strava is the one team i am the least unhappy about winning. Congrats!

Decent showing from Altur. Stayed out of trouble and sprinted at the end. I wish he would take more risks with attacks, but it's hard to complain when he consistently grabs Top 10s.
Congrats to Strava.
