Really interesting race with the mixed route. The head would say that either Kwiato or Uran (the one who smashes the field more in their terrains), but the heart goes with the local rider/team.
Kudus/Berhane duo will be awesome and also they have an strong domestique core to support them. The only way i see them failling is if PCbug mess with the leadership

Bonkers sprint result on day 1! Great to see two African riders on the podium at this 'home' race. Ben crowned King for the day a huge surprise though, all the same, congrats to MOL - a nice wee surprise for them today.

Planckaert! What an unexpected performance from him to take the 5th position. It's already more than what I hoped for and a lot more than what I expected. Nice to see Roglic staying attentive in the front as well. Bodes well for the next stages surely?
Thanks roturn and congrats jaxika, what a season start for you. It's clearly Van Winden's spirit that is guiding your team

Big failure from my team, bad positioning of Silvestre and in the end paid for it. I hope that in the next stage we will be much better.

Really unexpected outcome! Another great victory for MOL, and a very good start for them this season. Also nice to see Haddi on the podium, after having him on loan last season.

Well that already exceeds expectations with a fantastic 2nd place for Aferwerki, going well in a surprising field of closest competitors. Great way for both African teams to open up their ranking point tallies for the season.
Too bad that Veyhe swept up enough time bonuses to deny both 2nd overall and the U25 lead.
The victory of a 73 ACC rider is interesting to see from Van Heerden's perspective too.

A 4th place for Chen is way more than expected and we know we'll leave this race with at least 5 points, which will ensure us to hold on to the 1 PPRD-schedule |

Happy to see Reinhardt competing and looking good even if he faded in the end. As long as he's taking part he's usually good for a podium in one of the sprint stages. Thanks for the race, this pace we're going at is really a joy.

Disappointing to not see Itami there in the sprint, but he is poor on the hills so I guess I somewhat expected it, and Kuboki filled in very nicely. Kuboki could maybe hang in there on the hilly stages too.

A few former Oz riders doing well: great result for Aferwerki and Chen. Drapac kicking too early, but at least he had prominent TV time

The result is in the wrong forum section, so a rerun would be needed
Nah, we know it could go very good or very bad with the wide sprinter field, unfortunately it was the latter.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Veyhe's NC is missing?
Awesome day for Faroe cycling, Veyhe joining the break and getting the KOM and youth lead, as well as second on GC plus Nielsen making a surprise top 20 is really amazing. Can't wait until they are maxed.
Bit of a weird sprinters result, King winning continues the great season start MOL are having - congrats jaxika! Although some sprinters will be disappointed, why was Guardini so far down?
Thanks Roturn!

Absolutely no point my team doing work at the front if they're going to deliver Bouhanni to 13th.

Veyhe's NC is missing?
I'm pretty sure it's because it got uploaded to the shirt db after some reports were already being written. You should always see Veyhe wearing it starting from March or earlier I think

It was uploaded the same time my main jersey was uploaded - before any reporting threads or the microjerseys thread came up.

A bit disappointed Drapac went too early but I'm glad he actually sprinted at all after some hills. Gives me hope for the next stage though.

Interesting! The first 7 positions was all from the 2nd tier sprinter. As if the late chase of the breakaway made the stronger sprinter hang too low, never to get into the right position.
Nice one from MOL and also Eritel both doing better than expected.
