My lucky streak succesfully continues. This time Kluge must have been involved in Vandenbergh´s crash (or some other, doesn´t matter). Shit.
Thanks for the report.

4th and 12th is good here. Was hoping for a tiny bit more in the sprint with Blythe being the strongest sprinter who hadn't attacked prior, but after recent weeks I can't be nitpicking.
Congrats to Bewley, who else. (we need to hire Clooney to do this as an ad)
Very good and detailed report, thanks for that! It was nice to be able to track the positioning so well.

7th is good enough here, not great but about right probably. The whole Bewley thing is getting boring though... Thanks for the report hoyle.

Why did Egoitz Garcia have to get into the breakaway and get my hopes up?
14th from Altur is okay, but a guy of that quality should really be finishing with the lead group. That concerns me for his future.
Bewley is Bewley once again. Quite boring, but can't blame the guy for building on his incredible legacy. If you're that good, then why not rub it in by attacking multiple times and still leaving everybody in the dust during the sprint finish.
Thanks for the report.

Can feel pretty satisfied here, Summerhill finally makes a podium in a WT classic. Probably needed to be a bit more attacking to have a chance for the win, but others seemed intent on that plan as well.
As always thanks for the report!

At no point during the race/report did I know where any rider except for Bewley and GVA was. I think a little bit more namedropping is needed, otherwise i'll just scroll directly to the results. I didnt know if Tom David was in the chase group or hopelessly lost. In the results I could see it was the latter.
Congrats on another dominant win!

With so many cobbles, you would expect more selection really. That said, the top is just very close together I guess even though Trentin must have good daily form to keep up with them.
Boom 17th is above expectation.
Nooytens 39th a bit below but at least finally showing himself and apparently not being the team leader due to Boom I guess.
Nice squad there by Bouygues. Jörgen Matt survived in the last group of the day to avoid a total team collapse. |

Good job by GVA. Once again proves that he is the best human on cobbles and it even seems at times as it he has a chance against Bewley. At least a bit.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Happy with that one, ending 19th and 22nd also having Nordhaug in the early breakaway. Bewley is out of this world though, he's doing whatever he wants and gets away with it. Congratulations, Roman!
Looking at how the race went, Trentin was probably the biggest threat to Bewley in that sprint, had he not missed the split and bridged solo shortly before the sprint. At least it was very impressive to see him catch the group of favourites on his own. tastasol must think of what could have been. |

Pff, this guy stands above all the others in the DB so much it is not even funny anymore, but congrats Roman! Quite funny is that you actually though Bewley will not dominate again this year...
Thanks for the report t_h!
Metinvest with a very solid ride, cant really ask more than 8th and 15th from Nolf and Albert, when Nolf does not have a sprint at all.
I very much support some rejuvation of cobbled season, be it suggested double headers or something else, because now the races are quite meh...and Bewley is just sent to every cobbled race in the calendar and dominates by bike lengths.

15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Not as good as last year, but a clear improvement on the other cobbled races of this season.

Gratz to Bewley for a commanding win. Thought for a moment he over-exeggerates with his attacks and my bet goes down the drain.
Nice ride by Grand, (of course) van Avermaet and the rest of the Evonik guys. Another clear sign Pro Tour suitability by the team.
Thanks for the report hoyle, was a fun read!

16th...guess I should be happy. Veelers is slightly upping his mediocrity game.

5th and 13th suits us fine if we are going to have a bunch sprint. A bit disappointed it ended that way but there you have it.

Haha, Bouygues have a grand total of 1 rider finish, and he comes 2nd from last.
Shocked that Bewley won, you don't often see an outsider like that take victory in the cobbled classics...
