Milano - San Remo Discussion

Hoping for Bobridge or Burghardt to somehow score Oz some points. Better not count on Goss Smile

This is the most obvious race of the season, Bewley can't lose. Only Degenkolb can think of matching him, will be an exciting sprint tho.

Looking forward to this. Nice preview the hoyle but something went wrong with Van Staeyen's ACC clearly, if you use the participation file that won't happen implying you don't Pfft

Good preview, would love to see Ignatiev and Gusev working together to get on the podium!

I reckon this is going to be Bewley's again, but I'm hoping Bakelants makes this a very reduced sprint finish. Of course, all that will mean will be Trofimov winning, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

As with a few other people, we come here with two leaders. Claeys is there for if things get selective, while Keukeleire is here hoping for a slightly easier race that might bring some sprinters to the end. I'm hoping that hill stat might help him out.

I really like your strange feelings, lets hope it is the right one. Grin

There are certainly bigger favourites, but Mikhail will try to punish the reporter for not mentioning him in the preview, despite his 2nd place in MSR last year. But apart from that, nice preview the_hoyle!

We have two top10 hopes in Ignatiev and Grosu, both there would be lovely with one in top5, but startlist is superr packed, fingers crossed.

If there is one race where flat and stamina stats should matter, it is MSR, so i hope PCM15 actually take these stats into account and will thus favour our russian beast. (and wildly appeared world beater GVA). Bewley is obvious nr.1 favourite.

Nice preview! I go with Ignatiev or van Avermaet.

That moment you where so sure of Bewley not winning again, and there he is again.. Shock

Dissapointing by my team here. Jans again beating Kump, for a guy on 1/12 of Kumps wage, is it a pretty impressive achievement, considering the course is tailor made for Kump aswell Pfft

Swift...he must have stopped with something since joining my team. This was a shit performance by him when seeing the sprinters go for it. No reason for him to finish that far off the best sprinters.

De Bie as 11th though continues to do well.

Nice report and for a while I really thought the break could do it.

Seriously?

To anyone who thought we could fight for a Top 10: thanks for misleading me and giving me unjustified hopes.
Blythe and Kelderman need to man the fuck up the next weeks if we're supposed to stay up.

Hats off for Bewley!

Woah two top 10 and Eric Young making an amazing performances with only 78 sprint Hugo Houle building on his champs victory from last year and with 5 in the top 50 not bad

It feels a bit strange but I got a podium and am not satisfied. While the 3rd place by Van Stayen is pretty much the result I expected from him it still is a missed goal.

But what really bothers me is that the rest of the team did not bother to get minor results. Van Avermaet and Dzamastagic in the sixties and Skujins not in the top 100 is a major disappointment.

I realize that some other teams did a lotworse and that I should not be too disappointed with a top 3 but this is not the result I hoped for when sending everything I have.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

I've never been more sure about someone winning something pre-race. Bewley is too good for the MG. Congrats Roman!

Thrilling report hoyle, nice coverage!

Bewley winning, that was really unexpected. Shock

Seriously though, congrats Roman and thanks for the exciting report The Hoyle. Smile

A top 10 from EBH was good, but Kristoff obviously a disappointment considering the work we put in during the race as well. But the sprint in San Remo will always be some kind of a lottery with no real organization, and this year it seemed like both EBH and Kristoff missed out on the best positions.

Super impressive final 500 meters from Bewley, just when I thought Degenkolb had it in the bag. Congratulations, Roman!

And thank you for a great report, the_hoyle! Really thought Trofimov's and Ginanni's move would stick, but maybe they stopped slightly when they caught Ngock Ngue? If they co-operated well, 30 seconds for the final few kilometers with no organized chase behind, should have been enough, I think.
