As long as the race isn't called "Tour of the Czech Republic (ATTENTION: for pure puncheurs)", it's not clearly a stage race for pure puncheurs.
And
the H/M rating has been set accordingly
is the definition of artificial change. Any stage that doesn't just take the ratio the PCM stage editor gives us is changed artificially.
Whether that's an obviously justified move or not, the phrasing is correct.
But let's leave it at that. You're doing a great job with this game. I don't want to attack you for a minor thing.

Last chance for Di Maggio to deliver in a goal race this season... after he failed in Strade Bianche and Seskin Classic. A top 5 in a puncher friendly race like this is absolutely doable, no excuses will be accepted.
We 're still struggling to get our season going. The awesome result from Japan is already destroyed by the points drought in the Scandinavia and Berlin races.
Defining days in Czechia, looking forward!

Hmm, bit of a shame that the H/M rating is adjusted for punchers considering I had some hopes for Hugh's 77MO helping here.
Anyway still doesn't matter, hope this one gets decided on HI rather than ACC at least, and with hills this tough, that still could well be the case.

What the stage editor rates a stage is irrelevant, particularly in terms of hill stages which it is simply unable to do for stages such as these, as it would just make them disguised mountain stages.
I created the stages (with route design help from Roman), I set the H/M ratings, and when the race profile was first revealed I called it a puncheur's race. Nothing artificial about that, and could hardly be clearer, particularly assuming prior knowledge of what is done in the MG. A lot of effort pre-season goes into ensuring that hill stages are actually for primarily hill stat riders, particularly since the system changed from the DB maker having full control a few PCMs ago.
But yes, leave it at that. I'm still awaiting an apology from you for Grand-Duche, so not particularly in the mood to read any more criticism of the game from you.

Breaks our only chance for success here, so hopefully the boys will listen
I like the route aswell. Surely something unique and it will be interesting to see GC-battles every day.
McCartny to take it for me. Di Maggio will come short and get second.

As expected my team was very invisable this stage, but still having Efimkin, Prevar and Silin in the main group is a good thing. Suparman impresses by finishing ahead of Kononenko and Nikolaev. Kononenko in particular should be able to do better, but could be allowed to go in a break later on.

Thats a very promising start with two guys in top 8! And Reimer resting a bit for those downhill finish sprints (Hope his low DH stat doesn´t screw that plan) |

All my 5 puncheurs in the 20s group. Not bad.
A pity that Thurau wasn`t allowed into the break. Had loved him there. |

Great to see LLS once again with an excellent start of a tour. This guy is unbelievable!
I'm really glad that I did not fill the squad with any sprint talents for XP reason as I have to do for most races. Gives us a higher chance to catch the break.
( thanks for another great report)

4th is a good result, but I'm struggling to be very happy with it, since Juul-Jensen was the first rider who came with the bunch, and the first rider who missed out on bonus seconds. Seems like he was poorly positioned, so at least it showed that he had a good kick, on a, to be honest, extremly boring stage.
Levarlet and Meyer hiding. Hopefully they will present themselves in the coming stages.

A top 10 on stage 1 is good for Zardini, I was expecting this to be one of the more Pure puncher friendly stages where he'd lose time to guys like DiMaggio so I'm happy that it turned out to be a fairly boring stage with not many gaps.
I still think stage 4 (not 3 which I originally typed wrong) looks like it should be the one with the highest H/M ratio/ the closest to 50/50 (what I was trying to get at originally was that it looks like it would suit him or Kwiatek better than Di Maggio, but still suit Di Maggio better than a pure climber) and should give him the best chance of a stage win or at least gaining back some time on the purer punchers as he resumes his top 15/ top 10 quest.
Anyway I look forward to seeing how the other stages play out, hopefully we'll get them being a little more exciting with Zardini still being able to keep up with the best.

Rather passive first stage for us. Hope Monfort joins the attacks next stage.

lol, sums up how bad this race will be when Tvetcov attacks in the break of the day and then goes on to lose no time whatsoever

Great stuff! 32 seconds gained on all good puncheurs but one is a good headstart.
Also a comfortable white jersey already that I hope remains unthreatened throughout the race. Points are points, and a clean sweep there means 23 points after all.
I would've preferred if the stage was more selective (especially because of my doubts regarding an efficient chase), but with this way of riding, that's basically the best I could hope for.
Can someone please test LLS? I start to have suspicions...

Happened a few times now that I see a race appear and wonder "Did we sign up for this? Better go check!"
Then one look at the profile, definitely did not sign up for this
Same feelings from me on this one, that hilly junk is for others. This race would just spell disaster for us.

Ben Nasser participating at the front in 5th is a good sign but no real games from this stage. Hopefully when the big gaps happen he'll be at the front again. |
