Also catching up here. In more recent stages, the combined WCC + Carlsberg crews have consistently been infiltrating the BotD and picking up KoM points as one would hope given our combined lack of a GC hitter. Was great to see our Carlsberg guest gain a podium from the break in the most recent stage (won't attempt to remember how to spell his name! ). Contreras again doing well in the sprint behind for minor points, and his attentiveness gives me hope that in a couple of seasons when he reaches his full potential that he will display similar attentive instincts in bunch sprints either assisting his leader or in his own right.
Thanks for the great race coverage this far, and look forward to further reports. Ewan's 'failures' versus his sprint stats have been quite surprising, time for Herklotz to demonstrate that he will not be similarly burdened by out-and-out favourite status!

Würtz safely through. Hopefully a top day in the TT tomorrow.
Nice to see our combined team with Heine looking strong and probably taking a podium spot here.

Nice podium by Würtz. What we hoped for, so happy about that. Really liking our performance in this race so far.

Lack of breakaways for our team, but 9th and 15th in GC are very promising.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Aegon not being top level here but showing up nicely and consistent around the ~10th spot.
Denz and Ciccone in the mountains riding with some of the best here.
Bauhaus not showing that much yet.
Politt showing up in the TT top area even though with a bad daily form it seems.
Couldn`t have expected a lot more by them. |

Crap race Thanks a lot for the great reports though Abhi, enjoyed them! Grats to cio for the shocking victory of Herklotz

Immense work from my 3 fellas here. Borisavljevic recovering from an early scare to finish 3rd on the mountain stage and then producing a very solid TT. Hopefully he can hold onto 2nd if not then 3rd in the GC. Unbelievable form from Mas in 5th in the GC in his first season in the MG, great to see him ahead of Lopez! Hopefully he holds onto that Top 5 GC. Novak 17th in the GC also solid and would probably be better if he wasn't helping Mas. Keep up the great work my younglings!

Good to see Seboka stake a claim for the KoM jersey on stage 7. A poor TT has made a top 10 finish a bit more difficult though

What a performance by Eg! Holy crap! I was not even remotely expecting that. I forget his TT was even decent. Hopefully that will help him a lot in the future. Into the top 20 now, which is a minor but cool result for the kid.

Shirota was trying just a bit too hard on Stage 7 it looks like. That fall in the GC is not what I had hoped from him. Onodera doing well in the TT on stage 8 too.

Haven't been able to comment all the time, but quite an awesome race for the Wiesenhof team! Quite happy with the results even though it is mostly from loanies and tastasol :-p Willwohl is mine with the stage win though

And that's a wrap for Avenir. The most predictable race of the year perhaps! Congrats Cio
Tbh, a fun race to report, despite the inevitability, although stage 7 and 9 were a real pain to keep track of because of the constant attacks among the leaders! Stage 9 was particularly epic! Great race for Ayubowan! in addition to Puma as well. Three in the top 10 points to some future domination capabilities.
As for my own riders, Hofstede and Allegaert weren't in the limelight at all but the team put together by Booker produced good performances. Mullen with a stage win and a 2nd place, Mas in top 10 contention till very late in the race, Geoghegan Hart in some breaks, a few of the notable contributions.
