Mendes winning last season. A 16 man group entered the final 16 KM together.
Welcome everyone to the opening race of the CT season. Despite 'only' being a c2 race many of the top puncheurs of the division are present. This is a circuit race and encompasses five laps over a testing circuit: crucially there is plenty of climbing in the last 12 KM with a final 2 KM ascent all the way to the finish. The terrain is there for the best to create big gaps.

Will we be seeing a straight-out battle between Klemme and
Dowsett? Will the depth of Ferrero - Samruk be the story of this one? Could we have a surprise winner - who attacks from a ways out? Will Gaimon make it two wins in Cuba?
Find out tomorrow! |

Diggle with a surprisingly decent shot - we'll hope for a top 5 or more from our first race. But mostly, it is here! YEYSYEYSYEYSYEYSEYESYEYSYEYSYES it is here!

IT IS HERE! I dont even care this is not my division.
Klemme and Dowsett should slaughter the opposition really, good luck to all!
Edit: Btw. the inflation of stats is incredible, when we can see two 80 hilly riders in CT division, incredible. (my best hilly guy in PT is 77 btw).

It is a bit of Badaling lit this one. I fancy Klemme over Dowsett, will be intereesting to see what happens here it is possible a late break could upset the favourites too.

Let's see how good Ferrero is. The Gazelle clone to win here I think with 2 more in top10. Wonder which rider is with Barbin the longest. |

Gaimon or De Maar to win here imo, if it's raced similarly to last season I don't think it will be a top favourite (even though Mendes, the top favourite, did it last season )

What do you think, what is the MO/HI ratio for this race? Can be a deciding factor? |

Hmm yeah two 80 Hill puncheurs in the CT is pretty crazy, the level seems to have moved up a bit since last season. Usually a good race to open the season, curious to see the competition between all-eggs-in-one-basket and squad depth strategies.

Looks like a threeway battle. Will be tough for anyone with under 77 hill to challenge the favourites here really, with the great top level.
Also curious about the same as stromeon here, as my entire season pretty much depend on the hilly AI alone.

It's happening! It's fricking happening! We did it! The season is upon us!
Hoping for some attacking from De Maar here, not necessarily a top result.
