The conclusion of the Middle East Tour seems like a good time to update the rankings. We've also had the first 3 C1 classics in some time, plus a C2HC classic, and stage races at the HC, C1 and C2 level.
PCT
And it is the HC race, 5 Jours de Dunkerque, which directly influences the top of the standings. A mighty 445 points for Quickstep takes them to the top. Victory in the same race gave Jaguar 302, and they move into the Top 10.
Puma-SAP have notched up some victories and exit the relegation zone, as do Allianz-BMW after a strong Dunkerque. Boeing slip down 5 places, but it is Metinvest and Mobil who enter the drop zone. Victory in Avila lifts BelarusBank off the bottom.
1 | 2 | | Quickstep | 2360 | 2 | 1 | | Heineken-Cal Giant | 2144 | 3 | 3 | | Venchi - Ferranti | 1784 | 4 | 5 | | La Vie Claire | 1600 | 5 | 4 | | Bacardi Limited | 1499 | 6 | 6 | | Team CSC - Orbea | 1334 | 7 | 8 | | AMEXpc | 1321 | 8 | 9 | | Gazelle | 1305 | 9 | 7 | | Karcher-Adira Racing | 1263 | 10 | 14 | | Jaguar - Eritel | 1208 | 11 | 10 | | Oz Cycling Project | 1182 | 12 | 13 | | Kappa - ENI | 1062 | 13 | 12 | | FCB - Polska | 1058 | 14 | 11 | | Meiji - Cannondale | 1038 | 15 | 15 | | Team Kenya Airways | 969 | 16 | 18 | | Magna-Ryanair | 900 | 17 | 16 | | Repsol-Cativen | 872 | 18 | 17 | | Swedbank-PEAB | 830 | 19 | 19 | | Privatbank - Nemiroff | 779 | 20 | 23 | | Team Hornbach | 740 | 21 | 20 | | Kazzinc Procycling | 717 | 22 | 22 | | Project: Africa | 714 | 23 | 27 | | Allianz-BMW | 672 | 24 | 26 | | Team Puma - SAP | 670 | 25 | 21 | | Boeing-Bulgaria Bicycling | 621 | 26 | 25 | | Metinvest-Emirates | 609 | 27 | 28 | | RBC Pro Cycling | 585 | 28 | 24 | | Mobil - Aeropostal Ciclismo | 576 | 29 | 30 | | BelarusBank Pro Cycling | 362 | 30 | 29 | | Compal-Merida | 332 |
CT
Vontobel have moved past the 1000 point mark and continue to lead, while Nutresa are up to 3rd and Bonsucro move to 5th.
Siam Cement and Maloja top scored in the Middle East and that gains them 2 and 5 places respectively. This has taken Maloja off the bottom spot, which is bad news for Live Nation.
1 | 1 | | Team Vontobel | 1002 | 2 | 2 | | Team TomTom | 778 | 3 | 5 | | Grupo Nutresa | 771 | 4 | 3 | | Evonik - Signal Iduna | 760 | 5 | 7 | | Bonsucro | 721 | 6 | 4 | | Risa - Ergon | 679 | 7 | 6 | | Fletcher-Garneau | 630 | 8 | 9 | | Bank of Ireland - Irish Cycling | 628 | 9 | 13 | | Team Nordeus | 562 | 10 | 12 | | Azteca-NBCSN | 559 | 11 | 10 | | Lierse SK - Pizza Ullo Cycling Team | 540 | 12 | 8 | | Team ASDA-Savers | 531 | 13 | 15 | | Siam Cement - Lenovo | 509 | 14 | 11 | | In-n-Out Racing p/b Auchan | 494 | 15 | 14 | | ONCE-Eroski Cycling Team | 448 | 16 | 21 | | Team Carlsberg - Danske Bank | 367 | 17 | 17 | | Team Ameriabank-Novatek | 362 | 18 | 20 | | Euskaltel - Bavaria | 359 | 19 | 16 | | Eddie Stobart Pro Cycling | 339 | 20 | 18 | | Dell - 361° Racing | 316 | 21 | 26 | | Maloja Mountain Nomads | 314 | 22 | 19 | | Team Chiquita-Universal | 291 | 23 | 23 | | Sauber Petronas | 241 | 24 | 22 | | Wounded Warrior | 236 | 25 | 25 | | Alpina - Avianca | 222 | 26 | 24 | | Team Live Nation | 215 |

Africa
Kenya Airways are clearly faring best of the African teams on home turf as they top the African table. They took the lead away from Gazelle after La Tropicale, while La Vie Claire are up to a close 2nd after winning that race.
1 | | Team Kenya Airways | 446 | 2 | | La Vie Claire | 437 | 3 | | Gazelle | 437 | 4 | | Magna-Ryanair | 270 | 5 | | Swedbank-PEAB | 223 | 6 | | Bacardi Limited | 210 | 7 | | Team CSC - Orbea | 210 | 8 | | Jaguar - Eritel | 206 | 9 | | Meiji - Cannondale | 205 | 10 | | Venchi - Ferranti | 194 | 11 | | RBC Pro Cycling | 188 | 12 | | Oz Cycling Project | 185 | 13 | | Repsol-Cativen | 181 | 14 | | Quickstep | 170 | 15 | | Karcher-Adira Racing | 169 | 16 | | Kappa - ENI | 166 | 17 | | Boeing-Bulgaria Bicycling | 162 | 18 | | Team Hornbach | 144 | 19 | | Team Vontobel | 131 | 20 | | Project: Africa | 130 |
America
Heineken top the table with their American squad, ahead of CSC-Orbea and Amex, also flying high on their home continent. The majority of Heinekn's points came from the Tour of Vancouver.
1 | | Heineken-Cal Giant | 552 | 2 | | Team CSC - Orbea | 481 | 3 | | AMEXpc | 392 | 4 | | Bacardi Limited | 374 | 5 | | Repsol-Cativen | 340 | 6 | | Kappa - ENI | 328 | 7 | | Bonsucro | 326 | 8 | | Boeing-Bulgaria Bicycling | 267 | 9 | | La Vie Claire | 266 | 10 | | Quickstep | 252 | 11 | | Mobil - Aeropostal Ciclismo | 241 | 12 | | Grupo Nutresa | 212 | 13 | | Dell - 361° Racing | 211 | 14 | | FCB - Polska | 194 | 15 | | Bank of Ireland - Irish Cycling | 194 | 16 | | Risa - Ergon | 188 | 17 | | Venchi - Ferranti | 179 | 18 | | Jaguar - Eritel | 173 | 19 | | Team Hornbach | 170 | 20 | | Evonik - Signal Iduna | 163 |
Asia
Siam Cement infiltrate the Top 10 after winning in the Middle East, but it is Quickstep who lead the way with a good lead over Karcher and last year's winners Meiji.
1 | | Quickstep | 789 | 2 | | Karcher-Adira Racing | 567 | 3 | | Meiji - Cannondale | 488 | 4 | | Heineken-Cal Giant | 460 | 5 | | Venchi - Ferranti | 426 | 6 | | Siam Cement - Lenovo | 397 | 7 | | FCB - Polska | 365 | 8 | | La Vie Claire | 362 | 9 | | Team Puma - SAP | 340 | 10 | | Bacardi Limited | 329 | 11 | | Magna-Ryanair | 302 | 12 | | ONCE-Eroski Cycling Team | 293 | 13 | | Grupo Nutresa | 274 | 14 | | Bonsucro | 270 | 15 | | Fletcher-Garneau | 251 | 16 | | Privatbank - Nemiroff | 231 | 17 | | Sauber Petronas | 226 | 18 | | Maloja Mountain Nomads | 221 | 19 | | Eddie Stobart Pro Cycling | 213 | 20 | | Team Kenya Airways | 182 |
Europe
No surprise that the Top 3 in the main standings are Top 3 in Europe - but it is interesting to see that it is Oz Cycling and Amex who lie 4th and 5th.
1 | | Quickstep | 1149 | 2 | | Heineken-Cal Giant | 1098 | 3 | | Venchi - Ferranti | 985 | 4 | | Oz Cycling Project | 771 | 5 | | AMEXpc | 741 | 6 | | Gazelle | 691 | 7 | | Jaguar - Eritel | 682 | 8 | | Team Vontobel | 675 | 9 | | Bacardi Limited | 586 | 10 | | Kappa - ENI | 552 | 11 | | La Vie Claire | 535 | 12 | | Kazzinc Procycling | 525 | 13 | | Allianz-BMW | 525 | 14 | | Team CSC - Orbea | 512 | 15 | | Evonik - Signal Iduna | 488 | 16 | | Team TomTom | 464 | 17 | | FCB - Polska | 449 | 18 | | Swedbank-PEAB | 429 | 19 | | Team Nordeus | 401 | 20 | | Team Hornbach | 398 |

Well that looks nice.
It could have been so much better without all the fails along the way though. It's kinda incredible how high we are with Baugnies failing badly in many classics and Vantomme doing shit all so far.
Love how close CT is, should be some fighting there.

Dropping out of Top-10 after a strong GC-result in Dunkerque: this PCT is close Damn you, Jaguar!
Those classics didn't work really well though. Goss needs to win some races for Oz to stay in contention for the Top-8 or something like that. Bobridge hasn't raced that much yet, he will hopefully do good things in the Czech Republic by the end of May

Avin... Your team's not doing well...
My team on the other hand is about where everyone predicted it: Close to Hornbach...

Back up to 4th and we look like we could possibly be higher up the standings on PPRD now judging by our last few races. Thanks for the update SN |

Very little points, if any added since the previous update, I need a good couple of races now or I can give up my promotion aspirations...

nice to see that we still hanging on the top half of the table. unfortunately I think from now on should always be down towards to the lower half of the rankings. Fortunately I already have a good advantage for the relegation zone, and so shall I be saved from falling to CT.

Yeah. From 2. to 15. everything is so close that we will see a thrilling fight for promotion! Only Vontobel has some gap after a great early season!
The expected rise of Maloja has started and Eddie Stobarts slow fall has continued.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

I know one of our sponsor's tagline is Truly Asia but maybe scoring just 15 points whilst not on Asian soil is taking it a little too far.
Seeing as we aren't very good at scoring big points we'll have to hope we can get that Asia Tour goal by scoring small points in every race on the continent (bar HC ones because we didn't request a wildcard to them)

Stunned again by the ranking table! Yes, we expected to be stronger in the early season, but didn't dream about taking the lead at all.
Anyway, great to see that our last races in Croatia and Germany helped to increase the gap. There's not a lot to expect (pointswise) the coming May races.
Only letdown is that our Asia Tour ranking goal seems far out of reach.

I hoped to be further up after Middle East. My Top 10 goal seems hard to achieve now. Rodrigues is the only consistent scorer of my team and he has already his longest two races behind him. |

Slipping down a bit from last time, but that was expected. The good news for us is that I scheduled a lot of races for our top guns later on.
Also being in top 15 in America standings is always a good thing
baseballlover312, 06-03-14 : "Nuke Moscow...Don't worry Russia, we've got plenty of love to go around your cities"
Sarah Palin, 08-03-14 (CPAC, on Russian aggression) : "The only thing that stops a bad guy with a nuke is a good guy with a nuke"
Big thanks to jdog for making this AMAZING userbar!

That Metinvest position. At least we raced only little since last update and next races can see us snatch some valuable points. But this season is really terrible, is there a category for biggest disappointment?
Thanks for the update SN!
