Anyone have a read on how I should be reading these stage results?
Fine TTT but the randomness of the other stages made it a bit of a nothingburger. Thanks for the report.

I think that kills Higuitas GC hopes, dropped by his team to loose 13 minutes...

Gc situation feels mostly unchanged. Next stage can throw things around if we get heavy crosswinds. Definitely a crucial stage for us.
RIP Higuita

I think s.t. means the rider lost the same time as the entire team (see first table) and riders with an actual time loss in the results obviously lost tht. Order doesnt matter so a s.t. rider behind a big time loss refers to the team's best finisher.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Goal was to win the TTT, but I can't complain when our 2nd place resulted in wearing the yellow jersey as a pleasant surprise.
Really nice gesture of Sivakov losing 1 extra second so his buddy Rikunov can take yellow, hopefully it won't backfire; meaning Rikunov will still have to protect Sivakov - and not the other way around - in the coming 3 stages during for example potential echelons... May the winds bless our travels!

As good a TTT as I could've hoped for. Too bad it probably will be useless as Haig is too far down to get any kind of positioning on the climbs.
Sucks for Higuita. Time to turn into Shikuita
Congrats to Oleg and thanks for the report!

Solid first few stages getting two stages early always helps, especially since things will get quiet quick for us in the second and third weeks. Big chance to grab even more success in the next few stages, will be big for Cullaigh in particular, hope it won't be too difficult with the potential crosswinds tomorrow and he can grab a good chunk of points towards the green Jersey.

Rough on Higuita, no doubt.
Curious to see where this leaves when we get to the mountains. Hopefully we're in a position recognized by the AI to be allowed to go into breakaways on the early mountain stages with JP Lopez and Williams. That was the strategy in the planning, obviously with no guarantees for results, but at least that's what we hope for to be part of some fun and exciting racing.
Would be super cool to see some action in the wind now! As more of a follower of the race, I definitely hope for it |
