Congrats Bbl, strong showing from Appo!
Speirs getting break-time is great! Picking up a few points and catapulting himself into 5th for a stage is nice too.
Thanks for the report!

Keep trying, Areruya! Awesome to see him going for breaks already this season, bodes well and I hope he can find the key to getting in them soon
Maybe, in the vein of Jams last year, he's just too good

Pluchkin being kept safe by Kanepejs, looking good so far, now moving the the really interesting stages.

Sorry for the lack of replies, just catching up now!
Really nice to see Kaspa and Kono joining the breaks, with Stachowiak and Cherka also trying, especially cool that Kaspa gets to wear white tomorrow, though we expect all hands on deck now to support Kwiat, as I think we should have the strongest hills squad in the race and we need to blow it apart.
Thanks for the reports tsmoha, really nice reads!

Congrats bbl and Appollonio! Drapac with a very good sprint after a bad positioning yesterday. Now it's time for Úran to do his work.

8th is much better from Vingerling. Does worry me how inconsistent the top sprinters are in every race as some always fail in every stage/classic.
Back to this race and we're now into the real stuff!

Wow that's far worse than what I could've imagined from Guerao. Being the best sprinter in the race, 3rd and 13th in the sprint stages is just not acceptable. More pressure on Denifl now to compensate for that failure. |

Another good placing from Te Brake to get him into a good position for the Points classification. Good points picked up by him so far, quite a bit more than I was expecting. Now for the important hill stage where Henao needs to stay in touch.
Thanks for the report! Congrats bbl

Hell yeah!
Awesome win by Appo but also for the team. Kvist is doing a lot of this throughout the year, so hopefully it turns out the same way at least a few more times! Getting a train is not something I necessarily expected at all, but it clearly really paid off! Kvist was a guy I really wanted and got on a good deal. he hasn't disappointed with a top 5 and a leadout win! The first stage win of the year done!
Too early to tell if Appo will repeat last year, or even close, but this race at last proves he's still in the hunt at stage races like this where the top guys passed on participation. And that's good enough for me. I'm just happy to have a guy in the mix.
Thanks for a great report! Now for the harder part. I want Appo to keep that points jersey until the end if possible. I really want him to at least finish the race so hell be up there. It's difficult, but it's the number 1 goal now. Hopefully the yellow jersey will motivate him enough tomorrow, and then stage 4 is the really tough part. This race is a success either way, but that would make it amazing.

I am genuinly starting to hate Pluchkin. Win a hilly B-WC, do shit here. Brilliant. Relegation here we come!

Am i dreaming? Amazing stuff from Kudus I never expected him to be way ahead of every GC rider in the hilly stage, but now he's really in a position to actually win this race
Great win for Bennett, his early attack was deserving of this big win. This could mess up Xero's plans tomorrow but maybe both Bennett and Velits can get a GC Top10 for jandal i guess
1'14 on Denifl, 1'31 to Uran, 1'41 to Pluchkin. Omg these gaps

Very, very interesting hilly stage! Kudus probably the GC favourite now, eventhough you never know quite how good Pluchkin will be at the upcoming Queen stage. Surely the stage favourite, but the gaps to many riders in front of him is rather significant.
Also a great stage win for Xero, congratulations, jandal! Seems like that stage worked out very well for you with Denifl up there as well, which could look at a very good GC result.
And thank you for a great report, tsmoha That final stage should be a thriller after this! |

Part 1/2 is done. Appo survived this one fairly easily. Strangely, he finishes with Garby, who lost 21 minutes.
Hopefully that's a show of not caring about the hills or GC and he'll be aggressive for the stage tomorrow, rather than bad form, in which case it's a wasted race for him.
Happy to see Stuyven at least in the mix and at the front for a while, but those moves didn't stick and he paid the price in the end. A nice showing nonetheless.
One more to go. Let's go Appo!

Talansky picking up a few seconds there right at the death, can't complain about that. Ok perhaps he could have done more, but if he can the same again on Stage 4 i'll be more than happy!

11'05? You're not even trying, Senni! Forget what I said after the january rankings, this is going to be another season avoiding relegation.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.
