I think that will be a good move for Van Garderen. |

Given Van Garderen's failure much of anything outside of California any move to a World Tour team would be a good move for him.

Former top talent Adrien Costa, who retired early had a climbing accident and had his one leg amputated above the knee.
Horrible news for a young sportsman. |

Absolutely devastating. Can't even fathom that. What a turn from where he looked like he was headed, to this. Hopefully he doesn't let this ruin his future, with whatever he ends up doing.
Wouldn't be surprised if it's a big deal at the Tour of Utah, where he really made his mark a couple of years back.

Crazy, how rolling events can change your life, hope for him is enough strong to overcome this, considering how he was so shocked after Young accident...

Yeah, it seems a bit ironic that he quit cycling partly due to his friend suffering a major injury while riding and within a few months has suffered a major life changing injury.
I don't think he had ruled out a come back after a break so I guess he'll need to completely reevaluate his life. Hopefully he makes as full a recovery as he can.

My thoughts are with him. You can see the anguish in his look on a photo Axel Merckx took with him beside the hospital bed. Regardless of the age, one should never experience this life changing situation, but most especially not at 20 years old. Hopefuly he can think things through and get a good recovery, emotionally wise paramount. |

Bauhaus and Sieberg will join too, while Rolland steps back to the Pro Conti level to ride for Vital Concept.

Vital Concept hope that with these new signings will help them get Tour wildcard? They can't be more wrong - if we assume that Direct Energie, Cofidis and Fortuneo are certain wildcards, the 4th is reserved mainly for a Belgian or Dutch team. There are 5 French PCT teams fighting for 3 TDF wildcards

Funny thing is Women's race will be purely for sprinters.. Just those first 2 climbs and descent/flat to the finish, not sure what their idea is
Anyway it sounds interesting but wouldn't be surprised if everyone just saves themselves for the last climb.
