Quite a lot of races for the PCT teams and big ones as well.
PTHC events with the SAA Tour and Pais Vasco as also the classic in E3 Prijs. HC in Corsica International, Qatar Oil and Herning.
C1 stage races Romandie and Amissa Bongo and the opportunity for talent squads in KBK. So lots of points on offer.
Post February saw Fablok being in the lead as Froome really performed well. He didn`t race at all this month and hence pressure was on his team mates and chance for other teams to close the gap. Same goes for Berg Cycles and MOL though. Their biggest performers had a calm month.
But let`s check one by one starting with the PTHC events, where the PT teams already were announced as big scorers.
In the Tour d'Afrique Carlsberg with a surprisingly strong Appollonio were quite equal to many PT teams and top scorer of the PCT. Newton, Indosat or Eritel/Valio as well with okay scoring.
Pais Vasco then saw the PCT beating the PT teams. That said it`s kind of expected in times if you have Boasson Hagen. Grieg with the GC win there and hence the big big scoring. Yet again Newton Foundation with a strong race as well as also TVG belongs to the Worlds elite puncheurs.
The cobbles in E3 Prijs then also had some specialist teams performing well. Podium Ambition, Lierse and also Grieg all belong to the better scoring teams in this event and not far behind teams like Evonik with Van Avermaet.
The HC saw the short 3-day stage race on Corsica. Duarte with a kind of surprising win but clearly helping Novatek in the relegation fight. Best scoring team there, just 2 points ahead of Ferrero though with a good depth. Also Indosat, Spar, Orange, Fablok and other teams did well. The combination of mountain, sprint and time trial had good points for many riders.
Tropicale Amissa Bongo basically was dominated by Kump. Isostar with big big scoring for a C1 event. No team came close. Fablok, Netia or Haute Route at least with very good scoring as well.
Romandie was won by Sicard, who had a decent month really for Orange. Though it`s Berg Cycles being top scorer in Switzerland as their depth worked out. Also Netia, Ferrero or Isostar did very well.
KBK was a talent race for the PCT and seeing that only 2 teams scored 1 point each says enough.

In the individual rankings the puncheurs taking over or remain on top. EBH though with an almost perfect score (and being the PTHC dominator so far) being top of the ranking now.
Kwiatkowski continued his great season in Romandie and is equal to TVG who also did well so far.
Froome drops down to 4th but as said, had no rd this month while Kump as best "sprinter" following next. Guerao as first pure sprinter then also in the top10 with Sicard jumping to 10th with his season debut this month and definitely a rider to follow this season in the fight for the overall.
Also Uran, Wisniowski or Appollonio with big steps into the top20.

Yes. We needeed to be in that position right now. It always was clear that we need a big lead after February and March, as the best race days for Kump (Almaty, TDU, Viana, Tropicale), Polanc (most cobbles) and Brajkovic (Crit Int, Romandie) are already gone. Plus we are the team with the most race days used up so far.
Left for us are Dunquerque and Kigali for Polanc and a couple of vague 1-day races for Kump. Otherwise a lot of difficult days where f.e. Potocki and Mansilla lead us. Still nothing is decided, though it is great to see us streaming away from the places to 17+.
Still f.e. in reach of Eritel right now in terms of projected rankings.

Still doing better then expected. Of course we will go down with the cobbles season ending, so I hope Vanbilsen scored enough. We just need to keep scoring minor points in the upcoming races that suit us less.

March was a good month for us, so good to be back in the top 5. Very close amongst the top teams, and a couple of dangerous teams coming from behind as well.
Seeing from the previews, Generali, Ferrero, Meiji and UBS a bit further behind than expected. The latter obviously just starting Amador's season, so expect them to climb upwards.
For us we enter a couple of crucial months. EBH has had a great seson so far, but racing any couting race before June now. We also have a couple of very poor race's in Osterreich and Portugal coming our way afterwards, so we need to keep a high level now. Rowe with a lot of opportunities now, and hopefully he can do a decent job.
Nice to see EBH on top of the individual rankings, and also Wisniowski being the best cobbler so far (despite no wins).
At the top Newton really is looking good. I've never trusted Maksimov, but he's been performing on a steadily level - just what they need to win the title. And they certainly looks to be the favourite for doing so atm.

While it went as expected for this month, we should've scored more points in Bongo (daily form from Mohs!!!) and Romandie (PCM and 77 MO climbers). Idan Shapira outscoring Mohs/Roche basically says it all and seems I have wasted lots of RD's with Mohs already.
Top flight is really really close points wise, but Newton and Grieg having a great PTHC really really is worrysome, as they might soon fill the void together with Orange and there won't be much space for promotion. Next update we will probably have fallen out of the promotion spots (for sure) and sets for a quiet mid season with small chances of winning a few races. Expecting to cut up some slack by the end season, but performances like those Shapira does is important here when we get to the mid season.
We had two riders in Top 15 last year rider standings and that didn't even warrant a Top 10. This year our depth is better, but sadly think that our wasted RD's on Mohs and Roche's downgrade will cost us the promotion spots.

Poor Isostar.
Finally our position looks a bit more realistic at least, obviously the problem with such a focussed team on a couple things mean a lot of those forced HC Days go to waste, so now that we have that March-April block of forced Qatar-Herning-Corsica-Vancouver we aren't sitting as pretty as before, but this was expected as we slowly head down to the lower table. 
The top of the table is beginning to show glimpses of what it will look like later though with a lot of strong teams showing their head at the top now. Thanks for the update Roturn, love how they've been coming monthly!

Marquez crash in Corsica Spoiled a bit what was a good month for a team, I am still quite satisfied with what we have achieved so far.
More than half of the teams have used more race days than we have and yet we are well inside the promotion places. PPRD puts us in a future third place which is much better than my best expectation...
All my leaders still have plenty of racing days ahead which in fact gives me even more hope than getting a good place at the end of the season

A big result in Herning combined with good racing in E3 and a steady stream from Talansky really jumped us upwards in the rankings. 16th upwards to 7th i'm very happy with. We've used up a chunk of race days, but we're consistently bringing in the results. 12 teams below us in predicted points is just where i want to be, buried deep in the mid-table. And i think that 820 puts us just under halfway to the needed points for safety (which i'm predicting around 1700-1800), which i'm ok with given how the racing's gone so far.
Marcus finally delivering in the cobbles has jumped him right up the ranking. Same for Thomas. And Yates keeps dragging in a few points. All three in the Top25 isn't spectacular but is what we needed.

Only 2 races last month somewhat explains why we fell down so far, but our team is still not performing as it should which is really frustrating. The fact my team is on pace to relegate is a bit unbelievable tbh, as my team should be comfortably in the Top 1/2 of the standings. 5 Points from the Qatar Oil Race is insane, since Shikai is a Top 10 climber in the division. We should be scoring atleast 50 there.

Appo and Juul-Juensen surprising has really helped us so far, I can't deny it. PPrD wise we're looking really good, but I can't expect that to continue. We're on the good side of the relegation fight right now, but with more mountain races coming up, we can't expect to stay there unless we continue to get good results elsewhere.

The good: we're further up the rankings than before
The bad: we're not out of the relegation zone
The super bad: we have less racedays left than our direct rivals
People besides Úran need to step up and score points, I'm looking at Albert and Betancourt in particular. The latter still has some decent races left so not all is lost yet.

Thanks for the update! I was waiting for this one. I thought we would be close to the top, but to be leading the pack is unexpected.
Gotta keep pushing because our lack of a top climber has to bite us eventually.

This month was supposed to be one of the best ones scoring wise for us, and yeah, it probably will end up being one of those, but the points should have just been more for us to consider promotion something viable.
Yeah, nothing is written yet, but 12th at this point of the season really isn't ideal and I was expecting to be around the upper-second half of the top 10 by now. On the upside, many of those teams don't look like they have the resources to keep up the positions they're in, so we have the chance to overtake those, but we've got the likes of Ferrero and UBS behind us that could easily end up ahead after all is said and done in October.
No reason to freak out, no reason to be excited. Vancouver is yet to be done and it's a key race like no other. So far I'm not really satisfied though. Thanks for the in-depth writing and statistics, roturn.

Things are really looking good for sgdanny and fablok as well imo, a really exciting team with a great core, natural growth over the past 3 seasons, and likable manager, that is - from the 'normal' teams - my favourite for promotion, next to the pt relegators who have naturally a bit of competitive advange against the normal pct squads. Also, hoping that maybe Netia or Isostar may keep their pace going, so who knows what's possible with some outstanding performances. Meanwhile, mates over at compal really need to get going if they want to survive this year. Dekker won't save them this time, unfortunately.

Thank for the kind words, doubt we will take the Top 5, but might be able to take one of the bonus promotion spts
As for promotion it kinda demands riders like Roche, Poljanski and Guardini to score well whenever they race. Mohs is still to have the routes that fits him, but atm he is under performing having used 12/38 RD's. Froome has 3 stage races left and 2 classics to score in and will probably do well. So basically promotion depends on how much points we lose in the mid season
