That's a lot better, Kupfernagel with a near perfect sprint, chose the right wheel and the right time to sprint pity that in the end he lacked a little strength to achieve the much-desired victory. Still I am very satisfied, even more to see Rui Costa do 19th in a sprint stage giving so excellent indications that I hope are to continue in the next stages.
The only negative aspect is to see Paulinho lose more than 3 minutes now I hope this gives him the freedom to attack.

I'm not asking much, just an attack in the hills our home race, honestly I don't even really mind if it's not successful but Stachowiak, Honkisz or Bernas should be in that break and Luis Leon Sanchez, just pitiful of him to not have a go and lose 3'59.
I know I shouldn't complain that much but it's our home race so I'd really like to see the team do something...
Thanks for the report of course Tamijo and congrats Eden, great to have it be Indosat winning!

Good performance from Vink, but disastrous from our other riders. Just not good enough. It should at least mean an offensive display the coming days.
Surprisingly big gaps, and some huge changes in the GC. Will be hard for Van Garderen to come back from this.

Vary well fought and clever ridden by Gautier. I'm very happy with his performance once again.
Also Omarsson still at 24th in the GC is cool. Would be wonderful if he can defend that!

TvG needs to bounce back from this. Anything but a GC podium would be quite disapppointing, or let's say a Top-5 and stage-win is the minimum from here, I guess.
Cool win for Indoosat though. And nice to see a former rider (Vink) active and in KoM battle situation.

Decent enough riding by Schreurs, climbing a bit higher in the GC. Not expecting to win overall, but if he continues riding like this, we can hope for a top 3/5. |

surprise surprise Vogt did something good I am very satisfied with him in this stage, but not everything went well as Rui Costa should have been able to keep up with the best. I begin to fear for my season because it seems that the game is not able to deal with 2 identical riders and as soon as one attacks the other is left behind unable to do anything. If this is really the case I am plotting because Rui and Vogt will participate in many races together.
And what about Paulinho, loses time in the previous stage and in this one has a fall but is still able to finish in 35th position

Yuck. TVG got a little too excited and went early. He has two more stages to figure it out otherwise this race will be a disaster. Tense times in the Newton camp.

That's certainly nice to see! Surprisingly only A.A's second ever win in the entirety of the MG. Good of to see that no injury came of his crash earlier. Looks like TVG went too early there, otherwise it was certainly his stage to lose.
Thanks for the report!

Team working hard for Flügel who must have been on a good day to get us our 2nd 2nd in a row and the lead in GC and Points. Top 5 goal looking good so far.
Team will have to work hard over the next 3 days for Cav tomorrow and then defending the Yellow Jersey. Expecting TVG to go on the rampage. Bad news we lost Florian Scheit in the crash.
Congrats to Eden for the win and thanks Tamijo for the entertaining reports.

Yates limiting losses, but keeping himself in amongst the U25 battle. If he can hold that contest, going to be extremely tough against Vogt and Mohoric, i'll be thrilled. If he can hold a Top15 GC, no way will he maintain that Top5, i'll be thrilled. Together and i'll be ecstatic.

Welp, don't count your chickens before they hatch I guess. It went from good to terrible very quick. Even Jesper Hansen beat him. our team was all over the front, but he was not. I noticed it in the screen where you said he was there, but only his domestiques were in the shot.
A stage win won't make up for the points loss, but what are you gonna do. This is why I try to have mild expectations.

Need a lot more from Caruso, Zingle and Le Gac. Would like to see them work together to actually achieve something in the hills. Was at least good to see Prades in the break.

Are you thinking about this:
At 48”
A group of 23 riders with Juul-Jensen, Betancourt and Yates.

No like two screens before that but it's no biggie.

Spoiler The acceleration came on a section of only 1,5-2%, thereby Van Garderen was not able to shake of anyone. Over the next 2.7 km, he is leading the group while the slope is constantly increasing, but the pace is moderate with 93 riders still hanging on to the peloton.
2.8 km to the top, 8.3% slope
This is the positioning in front. Van Garderen, Flügel, Anuar Aziz, Tanovitchii, Froome, Hansen, Lavery, Juul-Jensen, Gautier, Ulissi, Vogt.
The absence of MOL - OMV Petrom and Orange Pro Cycling is obvious, they got top punchers further back in the group.

I can't hold back my enthusiasm on the upcoming 4 stages after our pathetic performance so far.

Trust me, your definition for pathetic performance pales in compairsion with the abomination that is VMP - Argon 17
