World Championships 2016 Route Vote - Part 1

Time to start the World Champs planning, with a vote on the terrain type.
History:
2015:  Mountain
2014:  Flat
2013:  Hill
2012:  Cobbles
2011:  Hill
2010:  Mountain
2009:  Hill (Flat finish)
2008:  Hill
Vote on exact location/route will follow once there is a clear winner here. Please nominate suggestions for routes in this thread.
Generally the ITT and TTT routes will match the RR course. |

Voted for cobbles and I think the East Midlands Circle Classic would be a great route

My logic for voting cobbles: the second most recent event has been flat with it happening in 2014, and we have had 4 hilly editions and the Olympic Games following a hilly route as expected.
A cobbled route, however, was only presented in 2012, and it definitely wasn't hard enough to really make a selection between the top tier specialists and those that could just hang in during the short-ish cobbled sections.

Tough choice. Hill with Flat Finish would be nice (a la 2012 Olympic route) and my preference, but the Olympics were Hilly already this year and i don't want to double up the events like that.
So voted Cobbles as it's been longest ago we had one of the major route types. UK based would be good, but a route should be uniqe and not a current or recent MG race imo.

My thoughts were hilly cobbled WC Richmond like from real life would be a fair choice I Feel since we had Mountain and Flat recently and not being funny but a hard cobbles race is Bewley to lose whereas Hilly Cobbles brig a few into it |

How about old Ronde Van Vlaanderen route? The Bosberg isn't the hardest climb and it's still a while to the finish after that. If not that, any cobbled race that's hilly but not overly hilly and flat finish will do.

I think we'd be best off having a route that is either lightly cobbled so that both sprinters and cobblists can win (or even with a hill to mix it up further) or just a light hilly route, something in the realm of the MG Paris - Tours route or MSR but with a more variating profile, don't really think we need a race that will be dominated by a specialist(s).
Voted flat in any case.

Worked somehow questionably during this year's Conti Champs. Not sure if it is a great route for a big race.
Voted for cobbles. Make Bewley Fail Again in World Champs.

I voted for hills. It shouldn't necessarily be a very hard hilly stage, but imo it gives the most versatile rides and the most unpredictable winnerchances, where as a flat stage would have 3-4 heavy favorites, and the cobbles would have 1 or 2. But I'm fine with whatever is chosen, as I really doubt I have a contender in any case

As someone with no likely entrants I voted for cobbles, seen suggestions for a Richmond like course and mountain cobbles which both sound cool, a real open course without being insane (medium mountain flat finish gravel + cobbles ) might be nice.

I voted hill. I just think it gives an air of unpredictability, and there's a bigger group in with a chance of winning.
